Position Overview
A Shipping & Receiving Coordinator certifies and keeps records on incoming and/or outgoing items. This is a second shift position.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
Check bills of lading for accuracy.
Coordinate shipping and/or receiving operations with Warehouse Lead.
Fill in shipping and/or receiving tally documents.
Organize "mail slots" with proper paperwork.
Schedule shipping and/or receiving appointments.
Fold lot stickers as they print for receiving as necessary.
Apply lot stickers to both front and back of received pallet as necessary.
Execute all safety procedures and standards regarding the storage and receipt of goods.
Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
Process all inbound and outbound orders as trucks arrive and depart warehouse.
Generate all paperwork/information required for customer work orders including responding to and checking status of special requests, expediting orders where necessary, tracking orders and posting inventory records.
Communicate between customer and warehouse operations concerning the customer's account/inventory.
Update the DMS (Dock Management System) in a timely manner.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic reading, legible writing and arithmetic skills required.
