Scope:

Responsibilities:
Load/unload trucks of raw steel beams, non-standardized and palletized loads ranging in size up to 60-foot lengths.
Utilize forklifts, cranes, and hoist systems to maneuver unbalanced loads weighing in excess of 1,000 pounds and 30 feet in length throughout the facility
Build custom skids and custom packaging as required
Use problem-solving skills to stage and palletize loads in an efficient and cost-effective manner on outbound trailers. This includes skidding, banding, wrapping, and crating products in a way that saves space and time, and ensures loads are protected during transport.
Obtain, read, interpret, and Process Purchase Orders to ensure accuracy and prioritize resources as necessary.
Create and distribute up-to-date and accurate shipping logs to floor supervisors and upper management as required.
Communicate effectively with logistics and purchasing agents to ensure accuracy of invoices and to seek resolution of issues as they arise.
Inspect incoming/outgoing material for quality, dimensional accuracy, and correct quantities.

What You'll Do:
The below describes a typical day as a member of our warehouse and production facilities, but additional responsibilities may be required by the facility manager.
Perform daily forklift inspections and report deficiencies to facility manager
Operate equipment in a safe manner at all times.

Who You Are:
You are at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years experience operating lift equipment in a warehouse setting
Must be computer literate. Knowledge of warehouse tablets and scanners a plus
Must be able to communicate, read and write in English
Must be able to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Be a self starter with strong attention to detail, safety and be able to prioritize and adapt to daily tasks
