The position of the Receiving/Shipping Clerk is non-exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 in any one work week. The Receiving/Shipping Clerk shall be responsible for processing paperwork, reviewing paperwork, getting worksheets, labels and assisting a receiver to get products, and other miscellaneous administrative functions. Once received, enter the order for the release of the railcar. Review and report shortages or damages from containers and railcars. Download pick-ups, process paperwork, create labels, and assign a selector to have products ready for customers to pick-up from Ferraro Foods. Backup Transportation Department as needed. Assist the Transportation Department in getting daily pick-up schedule reports and assign a route to get back hauls. Once the schedule is in place, confirm and schedule pick-up appointments by phone or email. Report to Purchasing missed pick-ups or issues related to it. Backup Router's position when needed to close routes, assigned special deliveries, door sheets, and reports for the day.
