Shift: 3pm-12pm

Essential Functions:

Ensures shipping positions are staffed appropriately depending upon workflow.

Makes certain that enough personnel are available to load product into trucks.

Assists in boxing, crating and loading product as necessary.

Pulls and stages shipments to be picked up via common carrier (LTLs).

Must be quality and safety conscious; and a team player. Ability to frequently push/pull, bend at the waist and neck, kneel/squat, twist, use repetitive hand/arm movements, use foot pedals when driving forklift, climb and work at heights when driving forklift, and ascend/descend forklift to meet the physical demands characteristic of this job. Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to concentrate for sustained periods. In order to perform the duties associated with this job, sight within normal limits is essential.

Working Conditions: Occasional sitting while when performing computer and clerical duties (approximately 30 minutes per day) or when driving a forklift. Extended standing on concrete surface while performing regular duties. Static standing may occur for brief periods of time ranging up to five minutes. Constant walking is required throughout the warehouse to retrieve and transfer specific window products for shipping to help load product onto trucks and to assist with boxing/crating. May be subject to slippery surfaces, moving objects and noise in the Packaging area.

Equipment/Tools Used: Forklift, computer with keyboard/mouse, cart and writing utensil. Required personal protective equipment inclusive of but not limited to: Hardhat, gloves, earplugs, goggles, safety shoes (steel toe shoes) and back brace.

Safety: Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals.

Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions.

Comply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.

Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate's performance appraisal.
