As a Shipping & Receiving Technician, you will expedite packaging and shipment of all outgoing shipments. This is a key role, integral to maintaining the high quality standards appreciated by Materion customers. Your days will be full of a variety of tasks, including the following:
Examine all outgoing orders to assure they have the proper markings, accuracy of paperwork and are defect free before shipping.Create Bill of Ladings for shipments using various carriers.Create the proper Customs Export documentation for International Shipments i.e. Commercial Invoices and Cert of Origin.Create UPS/FedEx package shipping labels via UPS/FedEx Ship System.Contact various carriers to arrange pick up.Load and unload common carriers such as UPS Freight, ABF, XPO Logistics etc.Receive incoming material from customers/suppliers via Service Notifications and RMA's using the SAP System.Serve as back up driver for local transport of various materials. Must have a clean driving record and a valid New Mexico Driver's license. Must also have a clear understanding and the ability to follow all New Mexico driving safety protocols and rules of the road.Build custom wood boxes via panel saw for some orders shipping to customers.Operate a forklift and pallet jacks.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Computer skills - Microsoft, Word and Excel.SAP System knowledge preferred Knowledge preparing the required documentation for domestic and Exports shipments preferred.

Assist in soybean inventory and position grain in facility to maximize value by performing the following duties:
1. Assist in coordinating inbound soybean receiving activities and segregation of product.
2. Follow all procedures and policies to meet the requirements of CERT-ID EU non-GMO certification.
3. Physically monitor receiving process to ensure proper flow.
4. Monitor process results and make the necessary physical adjustments to meet desired operating parameters
5. Take the necessary steps to correct operations when running outside of the desired parameters.
6. Notify plant manager/supervisor of operational or equipment problems.
7. Maintain logs and follow preventive maintenance activities and record.
8. Take samples, analyze for product quality and record resulting test data.
9. Observe all plant and safety policies and procedures.
10. Maintain a clean work area to prevent IP trait contamination as well as reducing risk of dust accumulation.
11. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with operating menu driven programs and a computer mouse.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Proven problem solving skills and abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and drivers.
