Summary: The Production Planner - BESS is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the manufacturing or production process to ensure timely delivery of BESS products while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. In this role you will act as a bridge between production, procurement, and sales. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain production schedules: Create and update production schedules based on customer demands, resource availability, and production capacity. Coordinate with the production team to ensure schedules are communicated effectively and executed efficiently. Analyze and address any potential scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. Monitor and manage inventory levels: Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials and components to support production schedules. Regularly review inventory levels, identify any discrepancies or shortages, and take necessary actions to mitigate risks and maintain optimal stock levels. Continuous process improvement: Analyze production data, identify trends, and propose improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize resource allocation. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence. Collaborate with the operations management team to implement best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and lean manufacturing principles. Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production schedules, inventory levels, and any relevant production data. Generate reports on production performance, including key metrics, adherence to schedules, and any deviations or variances. Present reports and updates to the management team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor's degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 2 years' experience with Switchgear, controlgear, switchboard, power distribution panel or related technical area Minimum 5 years of experience in production or construction scheduling Proven experience as a production scheduler or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve production-related issues. Summary: Shoals Technologies, a global renewable energy organization, is hiring a Sr. Buyer - BESS to perform daily planning and purchasing activities for components and electronics, negotiating pricing and maintaining acceptable levels of inventory of all our BESS product components.
