Summary: Shoals Technologies, a global renewable energy organization, is hiring a Sr. Buyer - BESS to perform daily planning and purchasing activities for components and electronics, negotiating pricing and maintaining acceptable levels of inventory of all our BESS product components. The ideal candidate is flexible and eager to learn products/industry and has a strong track record in operational requirements. Responsibilities: Coordinates the procurement of raw material, components, electronics, and connectors, to ensure appropriate procurement methods are used (including bidding, contracting, ordering, expediting and related transportation for BESS. Negotiates with suppliers and ensures proper terms and conditions are included on all purchase orders. Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to material planning, price discrepancies, purchase orders, requisitions, and receipt of vendor deliveries. Keeps abreast of developments/best practices in the procurement and supply chain management discipline. Supports all procurement initiatives, including contracting best practices, SOX compliance and the inventory management program. Supports accounts payable efforts by acting as a consultant on matters related to procurement including payable issue resolution, delegates invoicing issues to the correct entity to resolve. Acts as an expert on matters related to materials, its processes used to procure materials and the associated systems, resolves vendor supply/invoicing issues. Manage MRP process, and coordinate RMA's, deviations, ECN, FRR as necessary. Supports the implementation of new processes or technologies as appropriate. Manages associated Min-Max material levels, risks for all areas of position. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of buying/purchasing experience. Experience in a similar role, buyer in a discrete contract manufacturing environment Bachelor's degree preferred. General knowledge and understanding of supply chain management processes. This leader will guide a team of technicians responsible for functional testing, troubleshooting, quality checks, and performance verification of BESS units prior to deployment. Experience working with customers to address quality concerns Experience with Microsoft Suite and Minitab or a similar software Strong understanding of high‑voltage systems, battery technologies, power conversion equipment, and electrical safety practices. Hands‑on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, and other diagnostic tools. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop technical talent. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Integration and has responsibility for the generation of all 2D CAD files that represent the products, systems, subsystems or components under development. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Automation, or related field. • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. • Proven expertise in robotics, automation systems, and industrial controls. • Proven experience bringing together teams with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and technical disciplines, creating alignment and driving effective collaboration to achieve shared goals. • Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, machine vision, and robotic programming. • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. • Experience leading teams through change, ambiguity, and rapid growth while maintaining clarity, alignment, and engagement. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams. • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work on site in Portland, Tennessee. Summary: The Controls Engineer will be responsible for improving the effectiveness of the workforce by developing and implementing process improvement projects in operations and developing standard processing procedures in the plant. This position will require the design, implementation and startup of these control systems, which involves the application of advanced computer/PLC/HMI programming, electrical controls knowledge and process engineering skills. This role includes the use of structured problem solving and statistical process improvement methodologies. Contributes to and leads small project teams to ensure the successful completion of team objectives. Requires close collaboration with operations staff during the design process to troubleshoot and resolve problems during construction or installation. Responsibilities: * Utilizes PLC/HMI skills and knowledge to resolve problems, contribute to development of new products/processes and maintenance/improvement of existing equipment/processes. * Completes the actual PLC programming and HMI screen programming for production projects. * Collects and analyzes data, justify procedural changes or process modifications, and established operating procedures for the plant throughout the life of continuous improvement projects. * Identify Improvement Opportunities in existing manufacturing operations * Optimizes processes to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity and reduced cycle times. * Contributes to project teams to ensure the successful completion of team objectives. * Identifies training needs and develops training and standard operating procedures for employees to ensure effective use of continuous process improvement methodologies. * Works closely with the Health and Safety team, to ensure safe practices are not sacrificed by procedural changes or process modifications. * Find solutions to problem areas in existing operational procedures. * Identifies/communicates/overcomes obstacles that may prohibit meeting production requirements. * Promotes a clean/safe work environment. * Find solutions to problem areas in existing operational procedures. * Contributes to project teams to ensure the successful completion of team objectives. * Update, modify, and continuously improve existing controls systems including ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, hydraulics, and pneumatics distribution and control. * Identifies/communicates/overcomes obstacles that may prohibit meeting production requirements. * Designs, programs, maintains and troubleshoots PLC controls for industrial manufacturing equipment. * Designs, programs and maintains user interface for machines and systems. * Produces and maintains wiring diagrams and schematics. * Support maintenance team to troubleshoot difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures. * Hands on experience as Controls Engineer working on automation and/or electromechanical systems. * Other duties as assigned.

Summary: The Production Planner - BESS is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the manufacturing or production process to ensure timely delivery of BESS products while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. In this role you will act as a bridge between production, procurement, and sales. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain production schedules: * Create and update production schedules based on customer demands, resource availability, and production capacity. * Coordinate with the production team to ensure schedules are communicated effectively and executed efficiently. * Analyze and address any potential scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. Documentation and reporting: * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production schedules, inventory levels, and any relevant production data. * Generate reports on production performance, including key metrics, adherence to schedules, and any deviations or variances. * Present reports and updates to the management team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
