Description:Perform various shop tasks in the support of both the manufacturing of machined parts and sheet metal fabrication; accomplishes the final finishing, fitting, and assembling of machined parts, where it is required to exercise a knowledge of applicable machine shop practices and procedure; sets up completely and operates equipment in the fabrication of sheet, formed and extruded parts. Performs such finishing operations as descaling, deburring, buffing, polishing, texturing material and parts to specified finishes, and checks parts for conformance to specifications.
Performs rework to the level of difficulty of the operations described above.
Assisting operators, machinists, or others in making and breaking down setups.
Under close observation and proximity of more experienced personnel such as machinist or senior operator, operates machine tools after setups are made to perform simple operations for the purpose of learning said operations, or to relieve the operator.
Cleans, dries, identifies, and protects parts as required.
Improvises shop aids to facilitate work assignments.
Operates overhead cranes and hoists in support of duties described herein.
Hand forms finished parts as required; records for future reference roll settings and sequences used in obtaining desired contours.
Presses in bushings and pins and may hone as required.
Operates hand forklift and power equipment to load and unload machines.

Basic Qualifications:
Utilizes entry level blueprint and technical data comprehension and shop math or equivalent.
Must possess a minimum of one year of experience in a machine shop environment and a minimum of one year of experience in the operation of various types of fabrication equipment.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with insurance adjusters and customers
Review estimates with Body Shop Manager or Foreman and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and submit insurance documentation and final repair billings
Monitor work-in-process, parts availability, and vehicle completion timelines
Follow up with customers regarding repair status as needed
Maintain accurate documentation, billing, and accounts receivable
Greet all HMC clients professionally and assist with incoming calls
Monitor productivity reports and payroll records
Perform additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required
Technical school or college coursework preferred
2-4 years of related estimating or collision repair experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical, insurance, and business documents
Solid math skills, including percentages, ratios, and basic algebra
Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities
Excellent customer service and organizational skills

As a Furniture Shop Technician you will be responsible for providing high quality repairs for every customer. This hourly PLUS BONUS position is located at our main warehouse in Franklin Furnace Ohio. Hours for this position are 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week. The Furniture Shop Technician is responsible for repairing damaged furniture and restoring it to a
"like new"
condition.
The duties and expectations of this job are as follows:
Custom build furniture or furniture parts as needed.
Restore stock furniture back to new or better than factory condition.
Repair or restore customer owned furniture.
Complete repairs in a timely manner.
Responsible for creating and finishing work order billing for repaired furniture.
Properly tagging and scanning pieces when moving to or from holding areas.
Monthly bonus incentives, up to $400.
Additional tasks, both within the scope of this position and outside of it, will be assigned and are expected to be completed within the agreed upon time frame.
