· Driving to pick up parts/deliver as well as any other assigned tasks – must be able to haul 27’ + trailer.

· Other general shop duties required by the shop or structural foreman.

· Inspect all equipment daily to check for leaky cylinders, hoses, or connections.

· Palletizing, shrink wrapping, & banding product/materials.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

***MUST Have ability to read tape measure and general use of power tools such as drill press, grinder, saw, sanders and general hand tools. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions a must! ***

· Must be detail-oriented and able to focus on small details.

· Knowledge of safe use and handling of power tools.

· You will also be using a shear, iron worker, press brake, saw, lathe mill and hand tools for fabrication.

· Able to follow directions and work with a sense of urgency.

· Forklift experience preferred.

· Welding experience preferred.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Customer focused attitude.

· Ability to meet deadlines.

· Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive motion for extended periods.

· Ability to lift and carry 100 lbs of product and material.

· Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards - Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.

· Contribute to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed.

· Sweeping & cleaning production areas.

· Follow all company rules and policies.

· Maintain a high degree of integrity with regards to professional behavior and safety.

The Fabrication Shop Helper will assist personnel within the Fabrication department with general fabrication, maintenance, and troubleshooting duties. This individual could be cross-trained to assist with duties related to operating the Burn Table, Sawing equipment or Grinder.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pull, measure, and gather material as paperwork specifies preparing jobs for fabricators.
Track and communicate completed work within Fabrication department.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the Fabrication department.
Ensure Fabrication area is clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required.
Successfully operate forklift and move pallets of goods throughout shop floor.
Manage cut sheets, and process drawing & traveler packages
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or G.E.D. strongly preferred.

Minimum of three years of general assistant experience in a large machinery/equipment-manufacturing environment a plus.
Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure required.
Valid Washington State Driver's License in good standing is required.
Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required.
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required.

Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.

Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Machine Shop Helper with a basic understanding of shop equipment and a wiliness and aptitude to learn new and improve current skills. (drills, sander, bandsaw, grinders , etc) to become an integral part of our team.

• Keeping shop clean
• Cutting materials on bandsaw and miter saw
• Storing incoming materials
• Ability to work from Verbal and Written Instructions
• Ability to read engineering part drawings
• Proficient use of power Hands tools (Drills, saws, Grinders)
• Sanding/deburring parts
• Ability to use belt Sander and polishing wheels
• Willing to operate machines to do secondary operations on Drill Press, Milling machine, and Lathe. Training will be provided
• Experience in Welding Stainless Steel and Aluminum a plus but not necessary.

This is a full-time, day shift position hours are Mon-Fri from 7:00am - 3:30pm, and occasionally requires overtime and Saturday.
