    Rice Companies is looking for a Civil Engineer to join the team at our Sauk Rapids, MN, location! The Civil Engineer plays a vital role in the successful execution of commercial construction projects. This role involves working closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to design, plan, and oversee the civil engineering aspects of projects. The Civil Engineer ensures that all designs are not only structurally sound but also align with the client's vision and regulatory requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: * Develop detailed civil engineering designs for commercial construction projects, including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management systems. Ensure designs meet all regulatory requirements and client specifications. * Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to integrate civil engineering designs into the overall project plan. Ensure seamless collaboration between all disciplines to achieve project objectives. * Provide technical support and expertise during all project phases, from initial concept through construction. Assist in resolving any civil engineering challenges that arise during the project. * Conduct site assessments, surveys, and feasibility studies to gather necessary data for design and planning. Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects effectively. * Ensure all civil engineering aspects of projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards. * Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the construction phase. Provide on-site support as needed during construction to ensure civil engineering designs are implemented correctly. * Prepare and present engineering reports, technical documentation, and project proposals. Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date. * Stay current with the latest engineering trends and technologies. Implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance project outcomes. Qualifications: Qualifications include, but are not limited to: * Bachelor's in civil engineering or related degree * Minimum 5 years of related work experience within the commercial construction industry * Professional Engineer (PE) License required * Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and industry regulations. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on practical and efficient design solutions. * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-engineering stakeholders. * Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software, Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite * Commitment to mentoring junior team members and fostering professional development.
