Job Description
This position will be responsible for leading the Test Systems group within the Sustaining and Test organization. This role has overall accountability for team execution for all Test Systems engineering duties within the assigned projects. This role provides technical leadership and assistance to the Test team to insure they deliver on cost, quality, schedule, and technical goals.
The Test Systems team is responsible for all aspects of the development and build of qualification, verification, and production test equipment for all Avionics North America products. The team is also responsible for maintenance and strategic planning for all test systems deployed to the production and aftermarket factories.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Provide oversight and guidance to Test Systems engineers to establish effective project operating rhythms.
* Lead the team in talent acquisition, talent management, training, mentoring, and coaching activities.
* Generate and execute succession planning for key roles within the Test Systems group.
* Coordination and guidance between Test Systems design group and other development activities and teams (e.g. product hardware and software design) during product development.
* Implementation of processes and design tools to insure effective and robust test hardware and software designs.
* Ensure the team understands the scope of projects and that scope is controlled while cost and schedule targets are met.
* Contribute direction for Test Systems development strategies and help make key design decisions.
* Assist with Test design, when necessary.
* Mastery of bid and proposal process including scope, performance metrics, schedule & risk to ensure tasks are bid competitively and accurately.
* Provides accurate and timely status reporting to Sustaining and Test, product area and factory leadership.
* Responsible for adherence to GE processes and procedures.
* Drive continuous improvement and lean principles through the application of FLIGHT DECK.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 8 years of experience in Engineering or technical discipline.

The base pay range for this position is $130,000.00 - $173,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This pivotal role is part of a team leading a strategic Enterprise Manufacturing & Assembly Transformation initiative, focused on
1) Contemporizing current business processes with a sustainable digital solution through connected ERP, PLM and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
2) Partner with stakeholders and our Digital Technology (DT) organization to manage process change, digital transformation.
The role will engage with our supply chain users across part families, shop operations, materials, quality, finance and partner with DT as well as other strategic transformation pillars.

+ Define manufacturing & assembly business processes including specific processes with information flow between MES and ERP/PLM.
+ Define relevant shop floor operations requirements,Value stream and Process mapping to clarify operational processes to relevant stakeholders.
+ Document user requirements, coordinate creation of acceptance criteria for business needs, verify prioritization and coverage of requirements in product roadmap.
+ Develop and document standard work by collaborating with cross functional teams and systems integrators, and drive continuous improvement of standard work as applicable for functional area to incorporate learnings.
+ Project/Program manage digital transformation projects across stakeholders including shop floor users & business solution implementation teams (internal and external).
+ Collaborate across Edison Works enterprise business system architecture implementations to ensure successful implementation of DT solutions.
+ Partner with other GE Aerospace partners, to define current state requirements and constraints, and help define manufacturing operations strategy and leverage industry best practices.

The Engineering Technician's primary duty is to meet production objectives by conducting special test processes of electronic devices. Responsibilities include administering functional tests along with troubleshooting at a system level down to the component level and maintaining records of the mentioned special test processes. **Roles and Responsibilities:**
+ Perform special test following test specifications and procedures for high volume manufacturing
+ Set up and perform test with minimal direction using sophisticated equipment - perform analyses and diagnostics of process, products, computers, and test equipment used in systems verification.
+ Troubleshoot electronics systems, circuit card assemblies to component level with analog, digital, and microprocessor-based circuits, assemblies, and test equipment
+ Capability in the assembly/dis-assembly of test equipment and product.
+ Prescribe rework instructions for products needing repair
+ Maintain product test records in quality data tracking system
+ Ensure product compliance and quality
+ Attend and participate in team meetings
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Associate's degree in an electronics technology discipline from an accredited university or college (or High School diploma / GED with at least two years of experience in Testing and/or Troubleshooting)
+ This position requires US Citizenship status
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Active security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance
+ Experience in high volume production environment
+ Experience troubleshooting analog and digital circuits
+ Experienced with general purpose test instruments (digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, phase angle voltmeters and automated test equipment)
+ Able to fault isolate electronics to the component level
+ Experienced in functional testing and environmental stress screening of class 3 electronics systems
+ Able to follow technical procedures and specifications
+ Able to read and understand technical documentation such as schematic diagrams, drawings, and parts lists
+ Experience using hand tools for electronics disassembly and troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001 soldering specifications
+ Basic understanding of embedded software
+ Familiar with Electric Static Discharge precautions
+ Ability to work under minimum supervision by being motivated and a self-starter
+ Keen attention to detail
+ Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and PDF Viewers.

Our plants are home to high performance teams who are creating quality High Pressure Turbine Nozzles, Low Pressure Turbine Nozzles, and Shrouds for use in commercial and military aircraft engines.
