The open position is for an Assistant Professor, subject to funding approval. Applicants are expected to have earned a Ph.D. or an appropriate terminal degree in accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB or equivalently accredited institution by August 2026 and be interested in teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Salary & Benefits: Minimum starting salary of $154,000; commensurate with experience

Primary Duties
* The typical teaching load is nine credit hours per semester.
* Effective teaching is expected at both undergraduate and graduate levels (MSA, MBA, and EMBA), as well as providing service to the department, college, university, and community.
* Research and scholarship that meet AACSB standards are expected.
Required Qualifications and Education
* Ph.D. or appropriate terminal degree from an AACSB or equivalent accredited institution earned by August 2026. Current ABD candidates will be considered.
* Demonstrated potential for teaching effectiveness.
* Demonstrated potential for research consistent with the mission of the college.
* Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

Roles Northwood University's DeVos Graduate School of Management has an immediate need for qualified faculty to teach in our DBA, MBA and MS programs. The ideal candidate will have graduate level academic credentials in Analytics or a related field as well as a demonstrated ability to teach in multiple disciplines. Willingness to embrace our unique problem-based pedagogy is essential to achieve the transformational competencies that DeVos Graduate School students accomplish during and as a result of their program. Faculty members also serve as Dissertation Committee Members and Chairs and must have a commitment to the long-term success of our students.
Responsibilities
The candidate hired in this position will be a key member of our faculty and should be comfortable in representing the graduate school and our programming to internal and external constituents. Full-time faculty members have a role in advising, admissions, assessment and mentoring adjunct faculty.
Qualifications
* A Ph.D. or DBA in a Business Analytics or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution with substantive academic or professional experience in at least one of the following:

We seek an individual with an understanding of Liberal Arts, and a practitioner focus, with corporate management experience, who can teach primarily undergraduate courses and an occasional graduate level class.
Candidates should have an interest in and be able to teach a variety of business management classes at the introductory and intermediate levels. Responsibilities
Northwood University is a teaching-focused university with HLC and ACBSP accreditation offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in business-related disciplines. The teaching load for full-time undergraduate faculty is five courses per semester (Fall and Spring semesters). Candidates with an established research agenda and a demonstrated record of scholarly publications may be eligible for an appointment with a research focus with a teaching load of four courses per semester (Fall and Spring semesters). Candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in Political Science and Philosophy. Courses include Introduction to American Government, relying primarily on American Political Thought and Development and secondarily on Institutions, and Philosophy of American Life and Business, a course drawing on political theory, economics, history, and business principles to explain the free-enterprise system. Additional responsibilities and expectations may include participation in on-going curriculum planning and review; internship and/or practicum supervision; research and scholarly activities; professional/instructional development; university committee activities; recruitment and retention activities; and other related duties as assigned.
