As a Quality Manager, you'll develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product while ensuring efficient conformance to industry standards and compliance to regulatory requirements. You'll be using your skills and expertise to devise and implement methods and procedures for auditing and evaluating the accuracy of our processes, products and systems. You'll ensure that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Qualifications You Must Have:

As an A&P Mechanic, you will assist with the repair, replacement and maintenance of the key components of aircrafts. You'll support the necessary checks in regards to the mechanical and functional components of the aircraft, including the testing of and replacement of defective or faulty parts. Our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking an Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 3 to join our operations team, located in Dayton, OH, working on assembly structures, laminates and composite bonding processes
Position Requirements:
This position requires at least four years of experience working on aircraft, aerospace structures or composites with a complete understanding of the detailed aspects of the job with practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. The candidate will receive limited supervision with detailed instructions for routine work, new activities or special assignments. May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower-level employees.
What you'll get to do:
Fabricate composite components and/or tools, which may include, tool prep, ply kit generation, lamination, vacuum bagging, de-molding, composite trimming, finishing, core fabrication, and composite bonding processes
Performing part-fitting operations such as filing, burring, crimping, trimming, gromet installation, drilling, countersinking and reaming.
Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
Measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
Modifying incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate engineering changes to structure.
Monitoring and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Troubleshoot and solve unique problems through collaboration with engineers and other technicians.
Operate autoclave and curing ovens to complete bonding cycles
Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor.
Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 4-years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production (or similar)
Perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: lifting over 25 pounds, working with chemicals, overhead work, climbing up and down ladders, prolonged kneeling, bending, or stooping, carrying tools, testing for and wearing a respirator.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access required
Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc.
Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Clearance with a background investigation completed within the last six years with the ability to obtain program access.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX., or NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) in Cleveland, OH.
What You'll Be Doing
* Creating communication systems for spaceflight vehicles, focusing on ground data systems, mission analysis and flight planning
* Designing, building, maintaining and operating ground-based systems (antennas, networks, software) that connect spacecraft to Earth
* Integrating, diagnosing and troubleshooting radio frequency and optical systems, IT and mechanical systems in real-time
* Providing expertise in support of system upgrade architecture studies, including potential use of commercial data relay systems
