As Senior BD Manager, you'll define and analyze critical new business development opportunities, develop and execute capture/growth strategies, and influence stakeholders and customers on win strategies. **Qualifications You Must Have:**

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Senior Staff Quantum Modeling Physicist.
As a senior leader, you will assist in mentoring our more junior staff while also engaging with other subject matter experts on advanced computing solutions, classical control electronics, hardware, and software. As a key contributor, you will assist in mentoring our more junior staff while also helping solve our most difficult architectural problems.

at Northrop Grumman's Linthicum, MD area facilities or our Annapolis Junction, MD facilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Master of Science Degree in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, or STEM related engineering field and 12 plus years of relevant technical professional experience. Ph.D. in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, or STEM related engineering field and 10 plus years of relevant technical professional experience.
Strong background in physical science of cryogenic superconducting circuits and systems.
Significant experience with computational methods for modeling and simulation.
Experience with physics-based modeling and simulation.
Experience writing version-controlled code in Python.
Proven skill at tackling/solving complex problems.
Ability to learn new topics quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work and lead in a collaborative, diverse environment.
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. Citizen.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance per customer's requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, or a relevant STEM engineering field.
Proficient with electronic materials at cryogenic temperatures and cryogenic based electronics systems.
Expertise in model/simulation loop closure based on process control monitoring and functional test data.
Experience with noise-modeling and/or decoherence mechanisms.
Active U.S. Government security clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $217,300.00 - $325,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
