Electrical/Mechanical Technician - Wage ranges from $30.00 - $35.00 / hour Quad is currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to work in our Burlington, WI facility. Paid relocation may be available for highly qualified candidates 100+ miles from the plant. Qualified candidates will perform all necessary repair and preventative maintenance work on the production equipment in the plant. Competitive pay - up to $35.00 / hour depending on experience. Your work week will either consist of 4, 10 hour night shifts (4 pm - 2 am) or 5, 8 hour shifts (4pm - midnight) and may include overtime work, to include weekends and holidays. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Duties include: electrical, pneumatic, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and machine shop. Maintenance Techs work closely with machine operators and production supervisors and assist in the startup, running, and troubleshooting of production machines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed to work as a team. Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Mechanical, electrical, and electronic experience required. Ability to move about to inspect/repair machines, including climbing, bending, and squatting in tight areas. Must have good flexion of hands and fine manipulation motor skills. An Associates Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. About the Position * Coordinate and direct Sierra Pacific electricians performing work on medium and high voltage systems * Work with electrical engineers to coordinate testing protective relay settings * Work on the implementation of preventative maintenance programs company-wide * Identify and implement process improvements for optimal performance and production * Effectively troubleshoot medium and high voltage systems, as well as ethernet and communication networks * Coordinate emergency repairs of medium voltage systems for quick resolution * Coordinate installation projects and repairs for best outcomes * Actively manage time and changing priorities under demanding circumstances * Commission, program, and troubleshoot VFDs * Install, disconnect, troubleshoot, and repair power distribution systems and electrical motors * Some overnight travel to operating divisions in California, Oregon, and Washington Qualifications * 2-year or higher technical degree in a relevant field or Journeyman Electrician Certification, with 2 years of related field experience * Minimum 4 years industrial electrical experience with verifiable proficiency in listed duties may be considered, absent technical degree/certification * Understand complex networks, including PLCs, to construct, operate and control power distribution equipment * Demonstrated ability to coordinate crew and projects for quality and on-time results * Experience with programming structures and techniques such as PID, data handling, UDTs is helpful * Excellent communication, listening, problem-solving, and reasoning skills Why Join Our Team?
