About the Position * Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility * Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems * Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock or fabricate replacement parts as needed * Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices * Effectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality * Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation * Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift, and welding truck * Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed * Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area * Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times Qualifications * 2 years recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education * Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs * Working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings * Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects * Industrial mill maintenance experience is a plus * Boom truck and crane operation experience preferred Why Join Our Team? About Us We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor with a reputation for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Maintain and repair central plant equipment, including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, vane axial fans, and other auxiliary equipment. * Overhaul of centrifugal chillers a plus. * Familiar with all aspects of rigging. * Support the office with recommended repairs from delivery to completion. * Availability for emergency service calls "on-call" through normal rotation. * Responsible for end-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning. * Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties for chillers, cooling towers, and central plant equipment. * Perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance on all associated equipment of chillers, cooling towers, and central plant equipment. * Ensure completion of maintenance within the scheduled month and allocated time. * Maintaining positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers * Provide technical support and troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all on-site equipment. * Attend monthly safety meetings. * Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. * Work directly with the Chiller Field Supervisor on new and existing customer opportunities or issues.
