We are seeking a qualified ServiceTechnician to serve the greater Los Angeles area for our Windows division in Southern California. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate, or a training opportunity with the qualifications below.
About the Position
* Diagnose and perform field repairs and provide excellent service levels
* This is a physical job that requires lifting, pushing/pulling, and climbing on ladders
* Perform window and door installations
* Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
* Company will provide a service van, tools, and training
* Meet or exceed customer's expectations
* Overnight travel may be required
Qualifications
* 2 years' experience in the construction/building materials industry
* Experience in carpentry/construction preferred, but not required
* We seek reliable, self-motivated individuals with good communication skills
* Valid driver's license and clean DMV record is required

About the Position
* Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility
* Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
* Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock or fabricate replacement parts as needed
* Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices
* Effectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality
* Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation
* Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift, and welding truck
* Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed
* Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area
* Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times
Qualifications
* 2 years recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education
* Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs
* Working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings
* Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects
* Industrial mill maintenance experience is a plus
* Boom truck and crane operation experience preferred

Responsibilities
+ To ensure safety and compliance for all employees and the environment.
+ Ensure the protection of all company physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
+ Monitor and test the Telecommunication network using Element Management Systems, remote Network Management tools.
+ Use electronic test equipment to diagnose, isolate, and correct failures and issues.
+ Work in the field independently on network issues, and priorities system problems, alarms, and issues.
+ Work with peers, clients, and other agencies to meet service levels and insure reliability of the communication networks. Determine network and client impact and make updated to Edison Network-Operation Center (SCE-TCC) and your supervisor.
+ Expedite or escalate issues as necessary. Create and maintain logs, reports, trouble tickets, associated to your work and repair activities.
+ Work from drawings, specifications, manufacturers' manuals and instructions to test, operate, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Four or more years of experience with maintaining, repairing, and installing sophisticated electronic equipment.
+ Three or more years of experience using tools, computers, and test equipment to isolate and repair electrical equipment.
+ Maintain a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Associate's Degree in electronics, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and considerable company experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of Telecommunication equipment, or equivalent.
+ Knowledge of the applied theory of electricity and electronics, basic engineering principles, communications theory, work methods, use of test & measurement equipment, computers, software, and safe work practices required for indicative duties
+ Safely perform work on a variety of communication apparatus and equipment.
+ Ability to apply the required knowledge to supervise and perform Communication Technician work.

* Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times
Qualifications
* 3 years' recent verifiable related work history or educational equivalent
* Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs
* Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects
* Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics preferred
* Industrial/sawmill maintenance is a plus

* Maintain and repair central plant equipment, including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, vane axial fans, and other auxiliary equipment.
* Overhaul of centrifugal chillers a plus.
* Familiar with all aspects of rigging.
* Support the office with recommended repairs from delivery to completion.
* Availability for emergency service calls "on-call" through normal rotation.
* Responsible for end-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning.
* Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties for chillers, cooling towers, and central plant equipment.
* Perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance on all associated equipment of chillers, cooling towers, and central plant equipment.
* Ensure completion of maintenance within the scheduled month and allocated time.
* Maintaining positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all on-site equipment.
* Attend monthly safety meetings.
* Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
* Work directly with the Chiller Field Supervisor on new and existing customer opportunities or issues.
Qualifications
* 5 years of work experience at the journeyman level and technical schooling.
* Commercial/Industrial air conditioning experience required.
* Knowledge of Chiller, HVAC, and Central Plants.
* HVAC large tonnage field knowledge is required.
* Must be available for emergency service calls "on call" through normal rotation.
* EPA certified.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Valid driver's license.
