Forge Operator

Sets up dies on the anvil and ram of a Steam Drop Hammer. Places hot metal on bottom dies, uses treadles to release clutches to permit a ram with top dies to strike metal. Treadle operated by foot, which controls the number of blows needed to shape metal and also control the amount of weight of blows to be struck. Maneuvers forging with tongs until desired size is attained; shape and contour of forging controlled by impression in dies. Keeps the dies in alignment and adjusts the machine for correct operation. Watches for worn or broken spots and/or other conditions in the forging of dies and/or hit trimmer which would produce imperfect forgings. Supervises operation of the forging furnace and directs the activity of the hammer helpers.

Die Repairman/Die Controller

The Die Repairman is responsible for maintaining forge dies via SAP locations, cleaning, repairing, and polishing forge dies after the forging process as well as checking shanks, dirt grooves and impressions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Repair of dies damaged during the forging process
* Welds dies and forging tools using standard welding procedures.
* During the repairing process drawings, templates and/or gauges may be used to verify repairs made to the dies.
* Performs die polishing by use of hand tools and hand held grinders using the following operations: caulking, chipping, scraping, filing, grinding and polishing. Which have been damaged in the process of hardening, forging and trimming.
* Stamps numbers and/or letter per drawing or written specifications on all dies which may have been damaged during the forging process.
* Maintain die work orders generated from die repair including creation and closure in system (currently SAP).
* Clear written and verbally communication including daily reporting of dies and their location including moving dies to the ready pile, inventory, weld or other location.
* Communicate updates via e-mail, in-person or phone.

* Accurately tracking die inventory, location, quantity, and condition.
* Maintaining cast library including putting new casts away, and removing old or obsolete casts from the library, and updating location list.
* Perform general lift truck duties for the die room.
* Retrieving dies from the wash area that need to be evaluated by die repair.
* Delivering dies to the appropriate areas.
* Transporting of products and supplies in and out of the die room.
* Observe levels of waste, chips or scrap and remove as required.

**What you'll do:**
This position is focused in castings, receiving inspection and supplier source inspection. It will also support others in the qualifying of our suppliers in regards to casting.
**Position Overview:**
The Supplier Quality Analyst - Castings, is responsible for inspection of purchased castings. They are also the supplier support to the team responsible for the design, manufacture, assembly and testing of internally manufactured products and purchased parts. In addition, they support issues such as MRB review, Cost Out, Reduction in DPPM, and Improvement Initiatives. They are responsible for supporting the procurement process by understanding, communicating, and reacting to quality requirements relative to all products and suppliers who provide purchased materials and processes to the Eaton manufacturing site. These purchase subcomponents and processes are used to support the design, manufacture, sale, and service of Eaton Corporation's products to the Aerospace Industry.
**In this role, you will:**
- Perform inspection of purchased castings at Eaton receiving inspection or supplier source inspection.
- Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements
- Drive reductions in Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), Scrap and improvement in First Pass Yield (FPY) of purchased products.
- Support response to customer requested corrective action and support of customers regarding purchased materials.
- Support operations through timely disposition of supplier related nonconforming materials found during manufacturing and requiring corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
- Support operations by interfacing with suppliers to drive corrective action through DMRs to get full root cause analysis, determination of permanent corrective actions, and implementation and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Perform Supplier audits as necessary in accordance with Eaton's requirements to approve new suppliers and help monitor existing suppliers.
- Report on supplier performance. Provide information to Quality Management in a professional and timely manner.

- Perform visual and dimensional inspections and maintain accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 and the Certified Operator program.

The Clinical Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing the end-to-end movement of clinical study materials to ensure compliant, timely, and cost-effective delivery to US study sites. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Serve as the US logistics hub responsible for Radiometer, one of the DHR Diagnostics OpCos.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Goal of this position is to provide tooling support for manufacturing.
* Supports manufacturing by ensuring all dies (and related tooling) are kept in a state of readiness.
* Coordinate die reworks with Production Planning, Product Engineering, and Tool Shops.
* Supervise toolroom room personnel - do reviews, provide training, provide leadership for all tool shop personnel.
* Develop new methodologies in tooling construction and maintenance to reduce die downtime and provide better quality - leading to improved yields through the process.
* Ensure adherence to applicable quality systems (SOP's).
* Provide key inputs to troubleshoot setters, core dies and fixture designs on reworks
* Provide build letters for new tool design and construction
* Execute and maintain tooling preventative maintenance systems
* Job well done will be measured by improvement in tooling quality( Meeting inspection criteria), on time delivery (as measured by quarterly schedule), tooling rework costs (as measured by tooling budget), and subjective evaluation of impact on scrap in the plant ( first pass yields).
* Cover die setups at all facilities, as needed.
* Performs polishing of dies after chrome events on new and/or reworked dies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum 10 years experience with fabrication of airfoil injection molding tooling.
