Hiring immediately for CNC Machine Operators to run a variety of CNC equipment in our production shops in New Hampshire.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Independently load parts and operate a minimum of one type of CNC equipment.
Complete all operational processes, checklists, control plans and procedures as required.
Correctly identify and assemble cutting tools and tool holder assemblies based on existing process documentation.
Learn and understand the difference between types of tool wear. (See Operator Expectations for more details)
Identify the correct start line in the program.
Gain basic working/functional knowledge of M codes.
Look at parts to ensure they were machined properly. This would include surface finish conditions, missing features, etc.
Basic troubleshooting of the machine (with assistance) if there is an error code and escalate issues to the Lead or Supervisor.
Complete all required inspection measurements as defined on quality control plans using hand tools, gage pins, caliper, micrometer, and Micro-Hite measurement tools. Must properly load and run equator. Learn to read CMM reports and reports from the equator and adjust parts.
Education/Experience & Skills:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
List the experience and skills required for the position.
Ability to set the tool to the correct tool height with assistance from others.
Typically requires 90 days as a CNC Trainee and or one (1) year of demonstrated CNC Machine Operator experience.
Basic computer and math skills are required.

Position Summary:
The primary focus of a Moldmaker centers on maintenance, modification, and repair of wax injection molds for the investment casting process. The scope of activity ranges from troubleshooting quality/functionality concerns and executing effective corrective action(s) to collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering on modifications resulting from customer requests or continual improvement efforts. As necessary to support Manufacturing, scope will expand to include secondary tooling such as jigs, fixtures, and gauges as well.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proficient knowledge of mold making techniques, materials, equipment, and processes.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, geometric tolerance, CAD/CAM software, and technical drawings.
Skilled in operation and programming of computer-controlled machinery; such as vertical machining centers, lathes, surface grinders, or EDM machines in addition to their manual counterparts.
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail(s) and continual improvement.
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with focus on quality.
Mastery of mathematical skills necessary for accurate calculations and measurement.
Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
Effective listening, communication, and collaboration skills that support successful cross-functional team activity.
Functional knowledge of safety procedures and protocols related to equipment and processes utilized.
Physical Demands:
Associates are frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The position can involve sitting, walking and lifting up to 40 pounds several times throughout the day. Job is performed standing all day. Job requires substantial movement/motion with regard to walking, bending, lifting, grasping and applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palms.
Requirements:
You must be a minimum of 18 years old, and able to pass both a background and drug screen. A high school diploma or equivalent is required with completion of a formal apprenticeship program in moldmaking or toolmaking along with proven experience in the field preferred.

The Position:

Operate machines in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Accurately record production information. This could at times require use of an RF scanner or computer.
Have the ability to lift 50 lbs. safely and at times more while performing group lifts.
Complete Inspections of parts for issues and defects and repairing if able.
Be able to work well both individually and in a team setting and working standing up to 9 hours per day.
Candidates that will be a great fit will:
Have at least one year of CNC routing experience.
Possess computer skills and basic math skills as they will be used daily on the job.
Have the ability to remain on your feet in an upright position and bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach at or above shoulder level.
