Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Learn about the mission, culture, and daily operations of Sight & Sound Ministries, Inc. Work under the direction of the Deck Supervisor on specific projects that are intended to provide an educational experience, as well a tangible benefit to the team. Learn and execute one or more Stage Technician tracks and run these tracks for multiple shows each week. Meet weekly with Deck department leadership for 1-1 connections. Shadow the other Show Operations departments (Animals, Wardrobe, Lighting, and Stage Management) Attend weekly leadership development sessions with other company interns where leaders from throughout the company will present a variety of leadership and cultural topics. The Security Officer is an armed position, that supports the Security philosophy and the mission of Sight & Sound by serving our guests, visitors, and co-workers, and stewards our facility and property. A minimum of 3-5 years of armed security, police, or military experience is required for the Security Officer position. The Security Officer position has different start and leave times scheduled between the hours of 8:00 AM-7:00 PM Tuesday through Thursday, 12:00 PM-10:30 PM on Fridays, and 8:00 AM-10:30 PM on Saturdays. The employee will work a 10-hour shift on the weekdays and a 12-hour shift on Saturdays. On occasion, the employee may be required to work on a Sunday or work an overnight shift. They complete set electrical panel builds, install power distribution and assist in the implementation of special effects for new shows, existing shows, and special projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Install set power distribution and necessary cable runs to power set lighting or other effects. Build and Install set panel boxes based on the design of the Automation and Effects Designers Prove and test the installation to ensure all elements receive the correct power based on their requirements. The Mechanical Engineer II independently designs, specifies, and documents the complex structural frameworks and mechanical systems for set pieces, props, and puppets used across multiple productions. They lead design reviews, provide expert support, and engineer solutions to ensure structural integrity, buildability, and complete integration of automation and lighting systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Design the framing and structure for a set piece as SolidWorks weldments/assemblies, with consideration for load paths, rigging points, and dynamic stability. Design mechanical systems to achieve precise speed, power, and motion profiles using motors, gearboxes, chain drive, air/hydraulic powered cylinders, traction drive wheels, gas struts, turntables, multi-bar linkages, etc. Collaborate with artists and technicians in routine meetings that are essential for the production process and identify all design requirements for an assigned project. Lead model and drawing reviews, providing an overview of the project and solicit feedback to incorporate in the final design. Create construction documentation (BOMs, cutlists) and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks and following all departmental standards and Scene Shop capabilities. This role combines expert-level technical knowledge in spatial audio, system integration, and show operations with a collaborative approach to support creative storytelling through sound. The Audio Integrator ensures that all audio elements function seamlessly in alignment with show needs and organizational standards. As an Audio Integrator, you will: Integrate immersive sound systems tailored to venue architecture and performance format. Install and maintain loudspeakers, playback systems, microphones, and spatial audio platforms. Ensure proper system configuration and tuning for 360° audio coverage and speech intelligibility. Collaborate with Audio Designers and Producers to implement interactive and spatial audio cues. Program and support show control systems (e.g., QLab, OSC, MIDI, Dante, Timecode, Q-SYS). The Stage Technician provides technical support as it relates to the execution of cues and the movement and operation of set pieces and other show elements for all Sight & Sound Theatres' productions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Model the organization's mission and values: High standard of behavior and productivity. Execute deck moves as assigned with accuracy and consistency, which may include being in costume in view of the audience Assist Deck Supervisor in preparation and setup of show elements to include, but not limited to, sets, props, fly systems, stage space and animals. Assist other departments in show and non-show related functions as required. Prerequisites: Ability to remain calm and rational under pressure and time demands in a fast-paced environment. The role requires flexibility in skillset and tasks performed and will alternate seasons between Films and Theatres. The Films responsibilities may include Costumer, First Hand, Draper or Stitcher tasks, while the Theatres Costume Shop role will primarily be Stitcher responsibilities. This position reports to the Theater Costume Shop Manager, and during Films seasons will receive daily direction from the Films Costume Supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Films Support the in-house manufacturing process by cutting and sewing bespoke costumes. Altering and fitting all built or purchased costumes as directed by the Costume Designer. Oversee workflow for Stitchers to determine best practices for construction techniques for films related historical garments. Assist Costume Designer or Wardrobe Supervisor as needed throughout the project. Support Costume Supervisor with needs specific to the project in order to hit all timeline, build and budget goals. Pulling and preparations for on-set logistics needs. Potential to assist on set as opportunity arises, including assisting with needs related to maintenance and laundry. Theatres Constructing costumes for current theater show builds. Assist with fittings and alterations seasons, dress rehearsals and show openings. Support satellite locations, including production cutting and sewing, tech pack prep, or assorted projects to support new costume build. Prerequisites: Strong experience in building historical costumes, fashion garments or theater costumes, with high attention to detail. Experience with domestic and industrial sewing machines and sergers. Knowledgeable in a variety of hand and machine sewing techniques. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide variety of coworkers at different levels of skill and knowledge Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions. Ability and willingness to work long hours during heavy build and tech periods, with periodically required availability nights, weekends, and the occasional holiday. Ability and willingness to travel to satellite locations to support Theatres show openings as needed. The Welder & Metal Fabricator fabricates and assembles structural metal products, such as framework or shells, for theatrical sets and scenery from blueprints. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for forming, shaping, welding, assembling, and cleaning all forms of metal connections in set pieces and other theatrical structures. Install special mechanical assemblies and special piece frames involved in sets and in-house projects. Collaborate with the team, to continually develop improved systems for meeting design specifications and building set pieces. Read, understand, and implement blueprints and other drafting documents. Prerequisites: Experience in welding aluminum and steel. Ability to read, understand, and follow both digital and paper blueprints and drawings. The Laundry Technician provides cleaning for all Wardrobe properties and performs minor alterations as needed for all Sight & Sound productions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide excellent service to all customers including Cast, Stage Management, Producers, Costumes, and other team members to help ensure that all laundry needs are met. Perform daily laundering, ironing, minor repairs to show costumes and accessories. Return all properties to their designated locations in a timely manner. Actively participate in schedule 1 on 1 and departmental team meetings. The Usher/Greeter provides an exceptional guest experience that creates an atmosphere of rest and wonder, preparing hearts for the gospel message. They provide genuine and timely service, seat guests efficiently, listen actively, and anticipate needs. They provide an exceptional employee experience characterized by a culture of trust and collaboration. The Usher Greeter position follows a show run schedule from Tuesday through Saturday. This role has different start and leave times scheduled between the hours of 9:30 am and 6:00 pm Tuesday through Thursday, 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm on Fridays, and 9:30 am to 10:00 pm on Saturdays (depending on show schedules). There are three leave times which allows team members to have shorter or longer shifts on varying days. For this full-time role, the employee is required to work the full shift on Saturday.
