This region is vital to our nation’ s interests.


Essential Job Responsibilities
:

Provides analysis and research for industry, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability. Prepares assessments of current events based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations. Collects data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes. Analyze technical SIGINT (including ELINT and Foreign Instrumentation SIGINT) data with a focus on producing reporting using community tools, databases, and production systems to create and disseminate products. These products will be published in accordance with the NSA reporting standards, within classification guidelines, and used to update pertinent databases. Support a team of intelligence analysts and interface with the government customer to collect, analyze and distribute SIGINT products. Performs quality control of SIGINT reports before release. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.


Minimum Qualifications
:

Experience working in a multi-skilled team environment collaborating on the production of intelligence analysis. Detailed knowledge of various SIGINT collection sensors, platforms, and sources within collection disciplines, including associated collection strategies and tasking procedures. Detailed knowledge of a wide range of SIGINT concepts, principles, and practices, and its sub-disciplines, policy, operations, tasking, and procedures to process, analyze, and report intelligence findings based upon theater and national tasking. Ability to proof read, edit, and finalize intelligence products. Valid US Passport Clearance- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with poly

BACKGROUND:

The U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) is a Direct Reporting Unit to Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA), G-2, and conducts dominant intelligence, security, and information operations for military commanders and national decision-makers. Charged with providing the warfighter the actionable intelligence needed to understand the battlefield and to focus and leverage combat power, INSCOM collects and maintains intelligence information in all intelligence disciplines. INSCOM also conducts a wide range of services, including but not limited to analysis, imagery exploitation, and science and technology intelligence production. Headquartered at Fort Belvoir, VA, INSCOM is a global command with Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) and responsible for coordinating Army-wide use of intelligence assets.

The NGIC Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Branch mission focuses on global IED threats, emphasizing locations of U.S. Forces currently deployed and are likely to be involved in the next five (5) years and other areas of national interest. IEDs continues to pose a significant threat to deployed Soldiers worldwide. Terrorist groups often use Commercial Off the Shelf Technologies (COTS) as an initiator switch for IED threats in both the technological and geographic arenas. As new technologies are developed, so are new triggering devices and techniques. Because the level of technology varies in developing countries, the creation of the country studies will include specific threats for each target country.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide Regional Threat Characterization (RTC) Country Studies support to National Ground Intelligence Command (NGIC)
* Provide support to achieve continued mission accomplishment in providing actual and relevant Global IED/RCIED finished intelligence products in support of DoD and SOF CREW loadset development.
* Provide RTC country study support, mobile training team support, and RTC ad hoc support to the National Ground Intelligence Center's IED Branch.
* Provide at the discretion of the Government SIGINT support, IED testing exploitation support, and IED/RCIED modeling and simulation engineering support.

REQUIREMENTS

* Four (4) years of relevant experience as a SIGINT Analyst with at least two (2) of those years in the areas of telecommunications infrastructure and the radio frequency (RF) spectrum.
* Technical knowledge in identifying and characterizing RF signals.
* Ability to perform SIGINT research and analysis that could contribute to logical and defensible all-source intelligence assessments.
* Understanding with policies and procedures for NSA reporting and downgrading.
* Completion of a Military or DoD SIGINT course of instruction is required.
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
* Valid US Passport.
