ProSidian Seeks a Sign Language Interpreter (Contract Contingent) in Charlotte, NC / Remote to support an engagement for agency of the United States government responsible for consumer protection in the financial sector .
The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to develop and implement a strategy and initiatives to educate, empower, and equip consumers to make better informed financial decisions.
Sign Language Interpreter Candidates shall work to support requirements for PR0001 Communications And Knowledge Management Support and will provide interpretation and transliteration services using sign language communication for deaf and hard of hearing participants in lectures and training sessions, both in-person and online, for the purposes of financial education, engagement, and empowerment. The Sign Language Interpreter should asses the participants' needs and the interpreting situation before and during training sessions and make adjustments as needed. The Sign Language Interpreter will provide interpretations from deaf and hard of hearing participants' contributions, questions, or discussions to the Instructor and to the training session group. The Sign Language Interpreter will also work closely with the Financial Literacy Instructor and Curriculum Developer to ensure adequate interpretation during all training sessions, lunch, breaks, and smaller breakout groups to assist those who require a sign language interpreter throughout the entire session.
The Sign Language Interpretor is responsible for accurately interpreting spoken language to sign language and interpret sign language to spoken language for training sessions, directions, lunch, breaks, and smaller breakout groups. The Sign Language Interpretor will be responsible for develping in-person and online training session tools and materials with the Curriculum Developer in order to ensure Deaf or hard-of-hearing participants have complete understanding of the education and empowerment implementation methods to assist participants in making financial decisions that align with their goals and lifestyles. Qualifications

Actively engage, communicate, and meet with SPW Home Department, Regional Leaders, BU leads (field and office) and Talent Partners (Admin and Craft) to learn the regional business plan and to identify local activities/meetings/events in need of simultaneous interpretation. Partner with local C+B resources to prepare content for region or BU-wide events (e.g. town halls, huddles) that are inclusive of the craft.

**Salary Range:** $25-$60 (depending on location, education, and certifications) **Details:** * The Full time 32 hour a week position will require that hours be worked Monday-Saturday, 7am-7pm MST. * This position will require that 100% of the required 32 hours are worked in VRS. Anything worked above 32 hours can be worked in other job codes.
* Those selected will be required to remain in their FT position for one year. (Cannot move to PT until the year is up).
**Hours Requirement:** 10 hours minimum of interpreting services required per month (at leaderships discretion).
**Shifts**: Available hours are Monday-Saturday, 7am-7pm MT. *(*If selected and hired you will initially be asked to work at least one shift either Monday, Friday or Saturday)

* Effectively interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English
* Maintain, as applicable, compliance with any national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements

* Accurately complete assigned tasks/duties, projects and paperwork promptly and within approved guidelines
