Essential Duties And Responsibilities (other Duties May Be Assigned)
To facilitate understanding in communication by faithfully interpreting, into the target language, everything being said without adding, omitting or changing anything.
To maintain impartiality and show no bias or preference toward either party while interpreting.
To interpret in the first form at all times, clarifying when necessary (informing both parties) and maintaining the highest level of confidentiality as well as abiding by the code of ethics for interpreters.
To be aware of his or her own culture and other cultures encountered in their duties and explaining any cultural differences when appropriate.
To preserve the highest level of proficiency by continuing to improve his or her interpreting skills and ethical performance. He or she must demonstrate the highest level of customer service towards our clients and theirs at all times.

The STAGES Sign Language Interpreter -CONTRACTOR is responsible for interpreting or transliterating all academic content to allow students who are D/HH to access instruction, communicate with other members of the school community, and participate in school-based activities. Qualifications
Fluency in American Sign Language and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics.
Active (Non-expired) recognized certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), or an Advanced/Master level certification from the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) or the Board for Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI).
Ability to provide cultural competency to find ways of communicating with the D/HH individual.
Excellent listening and retention skills to maintain a high level of accuracy during interpretation.

Role Description
LingoAid is on the lookout for talented Remote Contract Spanish Interpreters to expand our remote team. The role calls for individuals who have a sincere desire to use their language skills to help people and are passionate about what they do . Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional fluency, accuracy, and a professional, unbiased stance in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
* Fluency in English and one of the required language pairs
* Commitment to provide exceptional, courteous, and professional interpretation services
* Strong communication and organizational capabilities
* Flexible availability, including potential weekend and holiday shifts
Onboarding Requirements
* Completion of an English Language Proficiency Test with a language rating of “technical proficiency” (3 or higher on the nationally recognized ILR scale).
* Successful completion of a Mock oral interpretation session. Interpreters are evaluated against 24 quality standards and must attain a passing score.
* Completion of an online Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology Assessment, with a passing score.
* A full Background Check and Security Screen.
* A signed Independent Contractor Agreement.
* A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics within this industry, and HIPAA compliance.
Preferred Qualification
* Prior experience in Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) is advantageous.
