Job Summary The Limited Term Sign Language Interpreter provides sign language interpreting for students who are deaf, primarily for in-person and online classes, meetings, and in other college-wide activities. Additionally, the this position recruits, screens, and mentors contracted self-employed interpreters to provide services to GGC students. The Sign Language Interpreter dispenses training and resource information to faculty and students when appropriate and upon request. This position is designated as Campus Security Authority (CSA) and is responsible for reporting crimes and other incidents to the Clery Act Compliance Officer for inclusion in the Annual Campus Security Report in accordance with the Federal Clery Act and GGC policy. The continuation of this position is contingent on available funding.
