A Language Bank Interpreter provides professional interpretation services to assist in the communication between people who are limited in their proficiency of the English language and service providers in judicial proceedings, health settings or social services venues. Essential Responsibilities: Renders the message faithfully; always conveying the content and spirit of the speaker, using the language most readily understood by the person(s) being served. Must be dependable, reliable and prompt at all times. This ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreter - Per Diem will be responsible for: * Interpreting for Deaf and Hard of Hearing patients and families and providers, and for patients and families with limited or no spoken language proficiency in their interactions with care providers and other hospital personnel.
