What Does A Signal Maintainer Do At Kelly Services

* Perform required safety inspections and tests of signal system components and train control equipment in accordance with state regulations and FRA Parts 234 and 236
* Perform preventive maintenance of signal system components and train control equipment in accordance with state regulations and FRA Parts 234 and 236
* Respond to reports of signal system and train control problems and troubleshoot, diagnose and correct malfunctions
* Comply with all safety rules and instructions including the use of proper personal protective equipment and Roadway Worker Protection
* Document and report work and inspections in accordance with railroad, state, and FRA requirements
* Maintain up to date and accurate records of inspections, repairs, calibrations, and tests in the Asset Works Linear Focus module
* All other duties as assigned

* Examines mechanisms and disassembles components to replace, clean, adjust, or repair parts, wires, relays, circuits, or signaling units.
* Operates and tests equipment to ensure elimination of malfunction.
* Climbs poles or digs trenches to install or repair equipment.
* Maintain written electronic records of all tests, inspections, and repairs performed
