KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Plays an active role in daily IT operations as part of the Desktop Support team, working closely with the Helpdesk to maintain efficient workflows and ensure accurate reporting of operational and performance metrics.

* Troubleshoots hospital and EMR application issues as they relate to desktop hardware, printing, and user environment components.
* Engages with vendors for second-level technical support, coordinating diagnostics, remediation steps, and follow-up activities.
* Participates in the scheduled on-call rotation, which includes some onsite holiday coverage and occasional second-shift support as needed.
* Supports Operations Analysts by assisting with first-line issues during high-volume periods or when additional technical expertise is required.
* Maintains clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps, system changes, and resolutions to ensure consistent communication and continuity of support.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
* Ability to use and configure Halo ITSM (or an equivalent service desk system) for managing incidents, service requests, workflows, and documentation.
* Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems across desktops, laptops, and tablet devices, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
* Proficient in core Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, PDQ Deploy, and other commonly used administrative tools.
* Working knowledge of essential hospital and EMR applications, such as Meditech, and an understanding of how these systems interact with desktop hardware, printers, and user workflows.
* Advanced documentation skills, with the ability to clearly and accurately capture technical issues, troubleshooting steps, root cause details, and resolution notes to ensure consistent communication across IT and vendor partners.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate with peers across the Revenue Cycle organization on the management of PFS edits by working with the Unbilled Committee to identify trends and implement modifications to workflow to limit pre-billing edits.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator the Research Technician will provide laboratory preclinical and clinical translational research assistance for optical imaging projects related to the detection, diagnosis and surgery of various diseases including cancer, neuropathology and cardiac disease within the OMI laboratory of the Toth Center at MEE. The position is based at the Toth Center at MEE, under the supervision of Dr. Anand Kumar.
The position will offer an opportunity to participate in cutting edge research in optical and multi-modal imaging in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of investigators at the Toth Center-MEE and in several clinical departments within MEE and MGH. The RT will work independently under the general direction of the PI to coordinate human and animal research studies and assist in data analysis and research reporting. On the clinical research side, the RT will be responsible for research subject pre-screening, scheduling, enrollment, and execution of measurements. Further, he/she will help prepare and maintain human subject research (IRB) protocols and associated documentation. A major component of the position is performing data analysis, and also performing laboratory-based measurements for instrument validation and testing as well as small animal fluorescence tomography applications. The RT will also have an opportunity to help the PI and other members of the team with developing new data processing and analysis methods.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Manager is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of educational and training programs that support clinical research staff, investigators, and trainees. The incumbent will engage in a wide range of efforts to design and implement clinical research educational programs aligned with institutional goals, regulatory, and industry standards. As required by CLIA, testing personnel are responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results. Each individual performs only those tests authorized by the laboratory director that require a degree of skill appropriate to their education, training, experience, and technical abilities. The Medical Laboratory Scientist, Senior I, in their role as Technical Supervisor, Technical Consultant, or General Supervisor as defined by CLIA, may be delegated responsibility for the technical oversight of the laboratory, including day-to-day supervision of operations and personnel performing testing and reporting results. Under the general supervision of the Technical Director and Clinical Supervisors, the Senior Technologist I oversees assigned workstations, including Quality Control (QC) review, training, competency assessment of staff, and inventory management.

Job Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Under indirect supervision of the Chief Technologist, the incumbent performs standard electroencephalographic (EEG) examinations (includes routine awake and sleep EEGs, portable EEGs and long term monitoring bedside EEGs) on both outpatients and inpatients. Responsibilities include test set up, electrode application, conduction of tests and the collection of information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests. May perform clerical/administrative duties as required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greets patients and explains the examination procedures to the patient and/or family. May perform the tests in the laboratory, at the patient bedside, in an intensive care unit or in the emergency room.
Selects predetermined standard and special electrode combinations (montages) made necessary by the case under study. May need to add additional electrodes as clinically indicated.
Measures patient's head using the international 10-20 system prior to placement of monitoring equipment. Operates the EEG equipment to record EEG procedures.
Monitors recording as it is in progress, makes pertinent notations of the clinical state of the patient and defines abnormal from normal activity based on the patient's history and clinical condition.
Obtains standard recordings, recognizes artifacts and takes appropriate steps to eliminate them. Uses activating procedures such as hyperventilation, photic stimulation and sleep.
Abstracts relevant information from the patient's clinical record and obtains additional information from a patient interview. Writes a technical report with an impression of the data to aid in the physician's interpretation.
Accurately enters patient data into a reporting system computer terminal and retrieves and reviews previous tests/recordings as needed for comparison. Stores data appropriately.
Maintains, troubleshoots, cleans and performs minor repairs on the EEG equipment; reports need for major repairs to supervisor.
Helps maintain the laboratory inventory. Keeps laboratory in a neat and orderly fashion.
Attends departmental staff and in-service meetings as required.
Follows all established departmental policies and procedures. Maintains patient safety and patient confidentiality at all times.
Must be available to work on-call, off shift and weekends.

Graduation from an EEG training program or Associates Degree program.

The Operating Room Surgical Aide works as an integral part of the healthcare team, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered. Essential Functions
Infection Prevention & Program Leadership
* Leads and coordinates the MGH and MEE Ambulatory Infection Control program, ensuring alignment with academic medical center standards, research demands, and teaching priorities.
* Develops, implements, and evaluates the program, with special emphasis on HLDS and device reprocessing.
* Conducts needs and risk assessments and to support infection control at MGH and MEE ambulatory sites, including ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs).
* Implements systemwide infection prevention and HLDS goals at the site level, ensuring adherence to clinical, administrative, and regulatory requirements.
HLDS Oversight
* Oversees and evaluates compliance with HLDS policies, procedures, competencies, and quality monitoring across departments.
* Partners with the Central Sterile Processing and Supply (CSPS) department, procedural areas, and clinical leadership to ensure safe, consistent device reprocessing practices.
* Supports readiness for inspections, accreditation surveys, and regulatory reviews related to infection prevention and HLDS.

The Multidisciplinary Eating Disorders Research Collaborative (MEDRC) at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Holsen Lab at Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a full-time post-bac clinical Research Assistant with a strong interest in neuroscience and quantitative methods including data analysis or computer science. The individual will assist with a study focused on the neurobiology of avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) in adults, including clinical, neuroimaging (fMRI/sMRI), and neuroendocrine metrics, and may have the opportunity to be involved in other clinical research studies in the MEDRC and Holsen Lab. Under the supervision of the principal investigators, the post-bac clinical research assistant will carry out a broad range of neuroimaging, biostatistics, and computer science-based research activities and procedures as indicated below.
