SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for the procurement of assigned commodities and services required to support ATS' business goals. Researches and analyzes supply chain opportunities to obtain lowest total cost of inventory ownership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs purchasing duties to plan and procure supplies, materials, equipment and services. Develops RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and sends to perspective suppliers. Manages supplier responses to these documents and takes appropriate action. Works in conjunction with entire supply chain department to analyze, recommend, coordinate and execute purchases which support ATS business goals. Executes purchases for critical goods or services using standard format for contracts and purchase orders. Plans, evaluates, and procures goods, raw materials and chemicals to maintain adequate inventory levels to increase production efficiencies and on time completions. Analyzes planned inventory levels for assigned items. Makes recommendations and changes to levels as appropriate to support current business trends to maximize supply chain direct margin. Coordinates the fabrication, heat treat, and material process requirements in accordance with FAA and OEM directives. Provides order updates to production, internal planning, and overhead department leadership. Expedites purchase orders as required to support ATS customers (internal and external). Works directly with customers as a focal point for material status to keep production on track. Resolves issues pertaining to purchase orders: receiving, and invoicing discrepancies and timely closure of purchase orders. Frequently communicates with suppliers to build and maintain positive, long-term supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery targets are met. Oversees suppliers for adherence to contracts on LTA and consignment inventory. Interfaces with ATS team members at many levels, up to and including middle management. Assists in training and mentoring of purchasing staff. Regular and prompt attendance. Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers. OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties as assigned. Some travel may be required. May be required to work extended hours to meet deadlines. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associates degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of purchasing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand, and walk; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Compensation The full base pay range for this position is $24.00 - $43.00 hourly, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
