Job Description This is a 2nd Shift Warehouse Position, 2:00pm-10:30pm Mon-Fri Broad Function and Purpose of Position: Operate a forklift and other equipment in the performance of tasks related to the receipt and shipment of raw materials, operating supplies and finished product. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, and/or Warehouse Manager, and may include other activities as assigned. Specific Responsibilities (Includes but not limited to): Pull finished product from inventory, assemble orders and prepare for shipment in accordance with company policy and customer requests. Select, pack and wrap product to be shipped. Receive inbound material including finished product from other locations, raw materials, operating supplies and equipment and transfers to appropriate storage locations. Receive raw material for inventory. Operate forklift to load and unload trucks and transport materials between departments and buildings. Count and examine raw materials, supplies, and finished products, to verify completeness against appropriate documents; checks for damaged materials; maintains records of shortages, damages and other exceptions. Match material against bills of lading, advises Supervisor of discrepancies. Use bar code scanner to achieve inventory accuracy. Maintain work location in excellent condition to comply with company policies for safety and housekeeping. Perform cycle counts and other inventory verification as required. Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required. Years Experience: 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing environment which must have included at least 6 months experience in the operation of a sitdown or stand up forklift. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, at our Archbold, OH facility, local producers of La Choy, Vienna Sausage, Dennison's and Wolf Chili, you will be a technical expert taking process ownership over the line structure. You will oversee the data and ensure that the line is achieving its goals using Conagra's improvement systems, including Centerlines, CIL, Daily Direction Setting, and Changeover. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will plan multiple large plant capital projects that often require inter-disciplinary engineering, maintenance, and operations teams of up to 20 teammates across departments. You will manage all aspects of scope development, cost estimates and schedule by collaborating within the engineering organization and within our team of plant partners in a matrix organization. You will manage facilities, waste water, and controls engineering departments in addition to managing external and internal partners. You will help us resolve issues and manage conflict in these areas. You will have knowledge of technology employed in the food industry and would also understand how the application of the technologies impacts their team members. Exposure to structured gate processes to take a product from concept to production is necessary.
