Operate and troubleshoot automated warehouse computer controlled robotic picking and stocking system and software. This position requires a valid drivers license and forklift operator certification. FUNCTIONS: Follows departmental procedures in receiving/shipping domestic and international shipments to and from vendors, suppliers, customers and/or other company facilities. Print all appropriate shipping documentation prior to shipment. Prepares and receives shipments via UPS, Fed Ex and DHL. Verifies the correctness of materials received using vendor-packing slip. Assures that all material received is transferred to the correct interim/final destination in a timely manner. Enters material received into information system to release purchase order. Procures signatures from P.O. originator to verify product. Operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on automated warehouse computer controlled robotic picking and stocking system and software. Includes feeding into and unloading from system using powered material handling equipment. To ensure the completeness of orders, production documents will be reviewed and compared to material to be shipped. To facilitate proper US or international delivery, all containers will be accurately and clearly labeled. Tapes and/or bands individual containers as required. Stacks containers on pallets/skids. Ensures the condition of the shipments meet company and customer standards. Uses hand/pallet/fork truck to move material into, around and out of the facility. Loads/unloads trucks and moves accepted incoming materials into the proper storage location. Prepares and verifies all associated documentation required to receive or ship material to include: but not limited to, verifying quantities, weights, and product identification. Maintains a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear. Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and trash removal. Perform inventory cycle counting and participate in annual and semiannual physical inventories. In performing assigned duties frequently, lifts/moves up to and including 50 lbs. Standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing are all required motions of the job. Also performs material handling functions. When work in primary classification is not available, will perform other work according to skill and availability, to include periodic inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory. Perform color changes as required including calibration of color and/or additives using gram scales and math formulas to determine let-down ratio. Perform proper line clearances at change overs. Read and review order picklist. Accurately scan all colorant and materials to orders. Check colorant and material running on machines and replace as required. Ensure accurate scanning of any colorant/material removed from warehouse. Maintain resin area and color equipment in an orderly manner. Assist with part containment on machines. Assist with production operations as required. Transfer materials and color barrels to and from stock locations. Combine liquid color buckets and materials in gaylords. Calibrate color additives and fill color canisters. Take silo readings and receive bulk material for silo when required. Run and qualify sample colors/sample requests. Empty regrind vacuum and keep liquid color pumps clean. Replace tube sets and clean filters on hopper systems. Complete related paperwork and use computer to locate colorant/material locations. Work with various departments and assist in cycle count and physical inventory. Must follow all work rules and policies. The Inventory Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing the functions performed by inventory associates and other such staff. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Implement space utilization plan to meet prescribed cost and service standards. · Monitors the space layout plan to ensure it continues to meet company standards. · Implement and effective product locator system and update as necessary. · Delegating work and responsibility to subordinates. · Oversee scheduled shifts and evaluating the working of inventory staff and subordinates. · Analyzes daily cycle counts and reconciles any discrepancies between physical count and perpetual record. · Analyzes directed cycle counts and reconciles any discrepancies between physical count and perpetual record · Audit the daily error report and make corrections as necessary. · Analyze and publish monthly data from WMS reports indicating monthly and year-to-date totals of cycle count dollar variances. · Analyze stock change in/outs transactions on material for validity to the product structure. · Analyze miscellaneous receipts and issues and take corrective action as appropriate. · Distribution leader for Physical Inventory. · Gain complete knowledge of the on-line Inventory Audit Trail to facilitate any research toward corrective action. · Prepare monthly report signifying major problems and updates on projects or assignments. · Perform other duties as assigned (In transit report, shipping adjustments, etc.) · Assist with associate relations and training. · Audit warehouse daily for compliance with safety, security, and quality principles and rules. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Promote safety among work crew. · Transmit e-mails to DSV representatives and clients (when required), write corrective/preventive actions, complete reports for operations manager, follow-up with attendance reports, write counseling memos and write/perform evaluations. All communications must be accurate and professional. · Conduct daily startup meetings, encouraging associates to provide feedback and work as a team and help with their development (training), coordinate operations with manager to ensure completion of daily objectives, report and discuss any internal or external issues that involve the operation. · Provide good communication and motivational techniques and ensure all company rules are followed. Provide management with information regarding labor/equipment needs to meet customer demands. Develop team leaders and ensure that associate expectations are being met.
