Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience); 2- or 4-year degree or 2-4 years of related experience/training acceptable.
Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in labels or similar industries.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Math skills (including Algebra) and knowledge of printing/converting materials and technologies.
Excellent communication and training skills; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to travel for internal and customer visits and trials.
Other Considerations:
Occasional lifting of rolls/samples up to 40-45 lbs.
Work around coating and slitting equipment; safety shoes may be required.

The Team

Responsibilities
Development and oversight of corporate validation program to ensure compliance with cGMPs, FDA and EU guidelines. This includes guideline and policy development and enforcement.
Responsible for preparation and management of corporate validation budget which includes clinical and commercial operations support and capital projects.
Mentoring and developing staff which entails selecting and grooming department management team. Also, provide continuous assessment of team and implementation of various training programs to mitigate department weakness with respect to technical and compliance topics.
Participate in corporate Capital Project Review Team and act as Quality representative.
Develop and utilize department metrics as a tool for continuous improvement.
Clearly define departmental roles and responsibilities with respect to internal and external boundaries.

Position Overview:
The Electrical Controls Technician will carry out skilled maintenance and repair work throughout the buildings, and grounds; specializes in electrical control systems of automated equipment and assists with program control sequences, control devices and their interface with the Building Automation Systems
You will be responsible for:
Perform work on various projects with disciplines in Electrical, PLC Programing, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Servo Drives, Servo Motors and VFD's with emphasis on Safety.
Perform preventative maintenance on all facility equipment according to maintenance schedule. Provide feedback to improve our PM system and process.

Be accessible to the KOST team by carrying a radio and communicating with Team Members as needed.
May be required to train operators as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma and five years of experience in a similar role.
Proficient in the proper use of hand tools and power tools.
Competent in basic fabrication skills such as welding, cutting, and grinding.
Competent in basic plumbing skills such as fitting PVC pipe, copper pipe, and other common plumbing materials.
Basic electrical skills - Familiar with voltages up to 480v, able to detect voltage with a meter, able to check fuses with a meter, and able to troubleshoot basic control circuits.
