We're hiring a Vice President of Clinical Operations - Hospice, a strategic and compassionate leader who will drive clinical excellence across our hospice programs. What You'll Be Doing:
* Lead and oversee regional hospice clinical operations, ensuring alignment with Silverado's mission and regulatory standards
* Supervise Regional Clinical Managers, QAPI Manager, and After-Hours Triage teams
* Drive performance through KPIs, quality benchmarks, and clinical productivity metrics
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospice-specific regulations
* Collaborate with SVP of Hospice Operations and CEO on strategic initiatives
* Partner with Business Development to support regional growth and service expansion
* Manage staffing, training, and performance across interdisciplinary teams
* Provide financial oversight, including budget planning and cost management
* Champion innovation and continuous improvement in clinical processes
* Promote a culture of excellence, empathy, and accountability
* Represent Silverado Hospice in professional forums and community events
* Report to the Governing Body, and implement organizational goals in alignment with directives
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Nursing or related field required
* Certificate in Hospice and Palliative Care Management preferred
* Active RN license required
* Minimum 5-7 years of healthcare management experience, ideally in hospice care
* Proven ability to lead clinical teams and manage multi-site operations
* Strong understanding of hospice regulations, EMR systems, and interdisciplinary care models
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
* Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required
* Comfortable working in an environment with animals and pets
* Ability to remain calm and compassionate in emotionally intense situations

Essential Job Duties:
ADON
Functions as senior Health Center manager in the absence of the DON and Administrator and has the authority to any make decisions that might be necessary in the area of resident care, employee relations or emergencies.
Reports to the Administrator of the Health Center on the absence of the DON as necessary and refers to policy and procedure manuals.
Assists the DON in providing leadership to the nursing staff through monthly staff meetings. Functions as a resource person for resident care issues. Participates in performance evaluation and disciplinary process, as needed.
Shares responsibility of supervision of direct resident care; coordinates and supervises resident care with RN Charge nurses, serving as a liaison between nursing staff and the DON.
Assists the DON in interviewing, hiring and evaluation of employees as necessary. Assists with training and supervision as necessary.
Shares responsibility for On-Call duty. Including approvals for Health Center Admissions, resident/family issues and staffing issues.
Works on weekends on manager on duty rotation as Senior Health Center manager on site.
Assures that state and federal rules and regulations are followed in regard to resident care and documentation.
Assists the DON in review of existing policies and procedures. Writes and implements new policies and procedures and implements new policies and procedures, as directed.
Maintains open communication with all residents, responsible parties of residents, physicians, other staff members, and involved representatives of the community (friends of residents and staff of community agencies).
DIRECTOR OF STAFF DEVELOPMENT
Plans, conducts and evaluates organized orientation and training/education programs required to meet Federal, State and local regulatory (new hires and annual training to incl. competency skills check) and Casa policy.
Maintains appropriate documentation of programs materials and attendance as required by regulation and Casa policy.
Acts as primary system administrator for Casa's on-line based mandatory training vendor and assigns training to staff as appropriate.
Conducts one on one in-services with staff, as needed, to address training/education needs and performance issues.
Researches and recruit's instructors for training/education programs who have expertise in the appropriate discipline areas needed to develop and improve skills of staff. Utilizes available community resources for training/education programs.
Monitors outcome of employee training/education programs for quality assurance.
GENERAL
Participates in Quality Assurance Committee by reporting on resident care issues and staff training updates at quarterly meetings and serves on QA subcommittees as assigned.
Cooperates with the DON in completion of other nursing related short term projects.
Attends daily stand up meetings, weekly risk meetings, quarterly LTM/Supervisor meetings and other meetings assigned
Performs other relative, relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Home Health and/or Hospice sales leadership preferred
A minimum of 1 year healthcare sales management required

What you'll be doing:
Provides overall direction, oversight, and expertise in sales management of the local territories
Ensures compliance and all regulatory agencies governing sales referrals and sales related activities
Assists in recruiting, hiring and training of sales staff
Establishes clear direction by effectively communicating the organizational sales goals, priorities, and professional sales standards to Hospice Liaisons and Clinical Liaisons
Monitors and tracks performance of Hospice Liaisons. Implements appropriate interventions to drive optimal sales performance of the territory. Holds Hospice Liaisons accountable for exceeding budgeted admissions. (both admissions and ADC)
Maintains a disciplined and systematic approach to sales management duties, regularly scheduled calls, meetings, account management tools, field ride-a long's
Ability to effectively utilize the CRM to maintain and develop sales territories
Effectively coaches Hospice Liaisons to identify key referral sources, develop new business, and manage accounts within their markets to grow business
Works collaboratively with operations on the budgeting process and the enhancement of Silverado Hospice's brand in the communities served. Ensures operations and sales growth strategies are aligned
Manages an individual book of business within a specified territory for consistent productivity
Champions disease pathway programs for implantation and execution
Collaborates with Silverado Senior Living partners for hospice educational outreach and internal sales opportunities
Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including, but not limited to the Compliance Program: Code of Conduct, HIPAA and Documentation Standards
Maintains a commitment to the values, culture and mission of Silverado Hospice
This position requires the ability to function independently. As it is a healthcare position caring for individuals with chronic and/or terminal illnesses, the environment can be mentally and emotionally stressful, and also involves working with emotionally upset patients and family members. This position requires the ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. It requires the ability to remain calm and level-headed in emergencies

We're hiring a Vice President of Clinical Operations - Hospice, a strategic and compassionate leader who will drive clinical excellence across our hospice programs. This role blends operational leadership, regulatory expertise, and team empowerment to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance.

You're a seasoned clinical executive with a passion for hospice care. You thrive in dynamic environments, lead with integrity, and inspire teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for patients and families.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and oversee regional hospice clinical operations, ensuring alignment with Silverado's mission and regulatory standards
Supervise Regional Clinical Managers, QAPI Manager, and After-Hours Triage teams
Drive performance through KPIs, quality benchmarks, and clinical productivity metrics
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospice-specific regulations
Collaborate with SVP of Hospice Operations and CEO on strategic initiatives
Partner with Business Development to support regional growth and service expansion
Manage staffing, training, and performance across interdisciplinary teams
Provide financial oversight, including budget planning and cost management
Champion innovation and continuous improvement in clinical processes
Promote a culture of excellence, empathy, and accountability
Represent Silverado Hospice in professional forums and community events
Report to the Governing Body, and implement organizational goals in alignment with directives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Nursing or related field required
Certificate in Hospice and Palliative Care Management preferred
Active RN license required
Minimum 5-7 years of healthcare management experience, ideally in hospice care
Proven ability to lead clinical teams and manage multi-site operations
Strong understanding of hospice regulations, EMR systems, and interdisciplinary care models
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required
Comfortable working in an environment with animals and pets
Ability to remain calm and compassionate in emotionally intense situations

Anticipated pay range
$175,000 - $190,000 USD
