Overview:
Working in partnership with both Developed and Emerging Fixed Income teams, the Portfolio Strategist will represent the firm's products and strategies to institutional investors with a focus in Fixed Income. They will work closely with researchers and portfolio managers within the teams, and act as liaison with GMO's Product Marketing and Global Client Relations groups. They will serve as a source of product and market knowledge and represent GMO's Fixed Income views internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Developed and Emerging Fixed Income teams to develop deep product knowledge and market expertise:
Gain comprehensive knowledge of the team's investment philosophy, process, and product history, such that as needed, the Strategist can act as a capable surrogate for the team's portfolio manager both internally and externally in this context.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Emerging and Developed Fixed Income team's existing and prospective client base, across channels and globally.
Play a key role in influencing product marketing positioning, product development, and competitive differentiation.
Advancing and closing sales to drive the team's business development, retention and support other client‑related efforts:
Defend business and seek opportunities to uncover leads and cross‑sell.
Conduct team portfolio reviews and marketing meetings, either independently or with other team members. Create leverage for portfolio managers, enabling them to stay focused on investing.
Demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to gain clients' respect as a "trusted advisor," and a high energy level around understanding client needs and creative solutions for solving problems.
Develop a facility in speaking about GMO's broad history, investment philosophy, fund offerings, resources and views on macroeconomic trends and markets.
Convey messages creatively, powerfully, and clearly.
Collect and share client and prospect‑related feedback with the investment team, IPS and Global Client Relations.

Produce and own marketing materials for the Developed and Emerging Fixed Income products to support the execution of Product Marketing initiatives:
Play a pivotal role in shaping and executing on product marketing deliverables. Drive key elements of the team's client‑related materials, including authoring quarterly/monthly performance commentary, developing and maintaining marketing materials, overseeing fact sheet content, drafting / editing RFP language, ensuring integrity of team‑related website content, and collaborating with relationship managers to respond to client‑related questions.
Create compelling content such as thought leadership white papers and presentation materials.
Contribute to enhancing GMO's brand.
Articulate the team's GMO's value proposition, portfolio positioning and investment outlook in webcasts, conference presentations, and media engagements.
Work with relationship managers and clients to respond to specific client requests for updates on performance and attribution.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience and demonstrated competency with Fixed Income investing and the Fixed Income market, experience in Emerging Fixed Income strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to cover the macro backdrop, as a lead into GMO's specific capabilities in both Developed and Emerging Fixed Income.
The ability to perform portfolio analysis and run simple simulations using proprietary GMO tools and systems.
Strong communication skills are essential, both written and oral:

In addition, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus award, which award may be determined by individual, team, department and firm performance, and is subject to the terms of GMO's compensation plan. Summary:

Working with the Developed Fixed Income team, in partnership with Asset Allocation, the Developed Fixed Income Rates Strategist will generate and represent investment ideas in the bond markets. They will work closely with researchers and portfolio managers within the teams and take primary ownership of duration positioning for existing and new portfolios. This role will report to the Head of Developed Fixed Income, but work very closely with Portfolio Managers in Asset Allocation. The role is Boston based with a hybrid schedule (minimum of three days in the office).
Responsibilities
Generate investment ideas and opinions in the bond markets - specifically focused on the government or risk‑free parts of the market throughout the developed space (US, UK, Japan and Europe).
Generate creative relative value trade ideas in the interest rate space that could be used in Developed Fixed Income or Asset Allocation portfolios.
Develop an investment thesis on duration and curve positioning for existing Developed Fixed Income portfolios, as well as any new portfolios.
Stay up to date on interest rate and currency markets, highlight noteworthy changes to the Fixed Income Quant team, as well as Asset Allocation.
Leverage a fundamental framework while considering quantitative inputs to develop fundamental views to complement and improve our existing interest rate models.
Research and propose duration positioning within all developedmarkets (both US and overseas) within Asset Allocation Fixed Income portfolios.
Understand the objectives, constraints and positioning for each of the Asset Allocation strategies.
Partner with Asset Allocation to determine duration and key rate targets.
Translate model output into positioning and trades.
Ensure proper positioning and risk targets.
Provide detailed performance and attribution reporting.
Act as an effective sounding board, engage in intellectual debate with Asset Allocation to result in the best outcome for the portfolios.
Partner with the Fixed Income Quant Research team to think critically about model output:
Evaluate and assess any hidden risks that would make the model vulnerable in the market environment.

Requirements
8+ years of industry experience, including relevant Fixed Income investment experience.

As director of Sales Marketing, this role will be dedicated to driving marketing initiatives for NFP's sales organization in North America. The primary focus of this role is to develop the marketing component of go-to-market strategies, drive large-scale sales initiatives across the company, and lead our portfolio of sales marketing campaigns including the oversight of impact reporting.
Working across our marketing team, this role will help facilitate the development of external revenue-driving campaigns and activities, as well as internal education for our sales force. In addition, you will support collaborate with our Chief Sales Officer, corporate development, sales enablement and sales operations teams. This role is critical in connecting our sales and marketing teams, and thus it is important that they have a strong understanding of both the marketing and sales process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead role responsible for supporting, collaborating and driving sales marketing initiatives for our sales organization in the US and Canada.
Key point of contact for Sales Operations team, including the CSO, distribution, sales enablement, producer recruiting and corporate development teams.
Strategic owner of sales marketing campaigns, including:
Oversee and track full portfolio of campaigns and ongoing measurement of impact.
Go to market strategy development
Lead discussions with core team to identify target audience, market, value prop, and making a recommendation on marketing approach
Identify KPIs
Collaboration with brand and digital marketing for the development of campaign assets and deliverables.
Sales marketing analytics ownership, providing ongoing reporting back to marketing and sales leadership, in collaboration with the head of digital, brand and SEM
Advise marketing managers across the team on optimal go to market strategy and how best to enable their marketing initiatives for sales teams.
Partner with field marketing leader on regional sales marketing initiatives, campaigns and opportunities to broaden/nationalize across regions.
Lead the marketing plan for joint sales initiatives between NFP Aon, Connected Value.
Collaborate with Sales Enablement on the creation of templated sales outreach, Sales Enablement kits, and ways to optimize producer marketing.
Support of the sales and marketing tech stack, and how to optimize usage of tools
Support integrated sales campaigns partnering with corporate development teams.
Parter with sales enablement to establish, maintain and audit the lead handoff process from NFP.com and other campaigns.
Manage and coach the sales marketing manager, who will report directly into this role.
