Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and facility staff. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures. Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and scanning documents. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years related experience preferred. Prior healthcare experience preferred. Knowledge of healthcare insurance plans, medical terminology, and billing processes preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards preferred. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and insurance verification software preferred. Physical Requirements This position may require lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
