YOU
As an Assistant Production Supervisor, you will assist the Production Supervisor in managing the employees within the department. You will also assist the Production Supervisor in ensuring work is being completed efficiently and effectively throughout the department. This is a Swing shift position (3:45pm - 12:15am).
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Lead, motivate and direct employees using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems. Troubleshoots and problem solves through root cause analysis. Helps in developing a continuous improvement culture. Creates growth plans for reports and engages all production employees. Leads by example. Coach, encourage, and develop employees according to their unique interests and strengths. Empower employees to take responsibility for their career and performance. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback. Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and the organization. Have a presence on the shop floor to assist and guide leads and employees with daily tasks. (50%)
Monitor workflow processes while looking for improvement opportunities. Analyze data, such as productivity reports, errors, and schedules, daily and make recommendations for improvement accordingly. Partner with other branches and places of knowledge to learn Simpson practices and gain new ideas to put into practice. Create reports, spreadsheets and presentations. Design and drive programs which will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department. (50%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the development and execution of your department's plans in order to achieve overall business objectives. You will have overall responsibility of production employees within the department, ensuring that we manufacture high quality products, within a safe working environment, and meeting output expectations of customer needs and profitability targets.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Coordinate the organization of work within the department by attending daily performance meetings, analyzing of daily department results, collaborating with other departments to resolve issues, correspond with internal and external customers as needed, manage scheduling of personnel to meet demand. Activities are focused on mid to longer term planning needs to the success of the department. (50%)
Manage staffing and development of employees within the department by participating in interviewing & hiring activities, training, and coaching of employees. (25%)

Position Summary:
The individual will coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the production team, prioritizing tasks to maximize workflow and efficiency in a complex manufacturing environment. Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor II leads and directs a team of employees in an assigned area of operations such as Metal Fabrication, Assembly, and/or Test. Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years supervisory experience; 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Manager of the Back End the Back End Supervisor supervises the safety, quality, productivityproduction performance, team performance, and is engaged in the coordination of work of the employees who work in production and operations for the Machining Centers and Material Special Processing cells.
Ensuring productivity/dock goals are met on a daily/weekly/quarterly/annual basis while complying with safety, quality, company, and engineering policies, regulations and specifications. Responsible for team engagement, appraising performance, hiring and training employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems, productivity, planning and scheduling coordination, output and production. Will partner with other departments to ensure clear communication of productivity goals, and daily reporting and participation in necessary meetings.

* With department leads champions the 6S program for the department, evaluating 6S weekly, identifying improvement projects, and participating in events.
* Responsible for identifying and providing all required training for production employees and providing proper support documentation.
* Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
* Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hiring, evaluations, and promotions.

* Plans and directs production activities and establish priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manufacturing Supervisor ensures throughput targets are achieved in a safe, timely, quality, cost efficient and productive manner. Manages production schedules to fulfill orders; is accountable for the achievement of area performance objectives, product quality and variable costs; ensures employees are accurately trained, assigned specific duties, coached, disciplined, and rewarded; and always optimizes equipment availability, cycle times, and overall continual improvement.
* Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to the area to maximize productivity and minimize cost while achieving safety, quality and throughput targets.
* Review and plan for daily/ weekly/ quarterly labor, equipment, and supply requirements to achieve the departmental throughput while meeting and exceeding the productivity targets.
* Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
* Ensure employees are trained on production procedures and practices.
* Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees; planning, assigning & directing work; evaluating and appraising individual performance; rewarding & disciplining employees; addressing complaints & resolving problems.
