Manages and performs Quality Assurance duties for the facility to ensure the quality of fastener coatings and processing.
Responsible for quality audits primarily in accordance with ISO 9001 and particular customer guidelines.
Ensures that all processing for customer supplied and inventoried parts are produced in accordance to the Quality Standards applicable in order to fulfill contractual obligations.
Interfaces with the customer's management and purchasing departments regarding quality issues and the performance and specifications of our products.
Works in cooperation with Customer Service, Outside Sales and the Processing (manufacturing) departments.
Communicates quality philosophy, objectives and expectations to other departments and the Business Unit Manager in a continuing effort to support a team environment.
Performs and oversees required quality assurance testing of the processed products including in-process inspection (document audits including APQP, PFMEA, IIR, Control Plans, etc.).
Responsible for incoming inspection and identification of parts to be processed.
Confirms initial primary contract review with the Inside Sales Department ensuring proper order entry into the computer system.
Maintains open lines of communication with customer representatives, other departments and facilities, and the operations managers.
Initiates and reports corrective action to bring about required change and ensure contract and quality requirements have been executed.
Resolves problems and/or conflicts and maintains open communication with the customer including providing regular written and oral reports to ensure satisfaction.

Complies with all policies and procedures and adheres to Nylok's standards in a cost effective, safe and efficient manner.

* Competes bid proposals and executes long term agreements for premier programs and/or customer with approval from the Sourcing & Commodity Manager.
* Works closely with the pricing team to submit proposal quotes in a timely matter to the customer.
* Provides target pricing for the tactical procurement team post contract award.
* Assembles pre-awards documentation for anticipated contracts and purchases.
* Communicates any quote exception or any significant changes to the supplier's status as to financial stability, delivery/quality performance and pricing of parts.
* Assists Engineering in sourcing of parts and selecting suppliers to participate in development activities based on quality, lead time, cost effectiveness and producibility.
* Negotiates long-term contract agreements with key suppliers to obtain effective prices, terms, products, and services to support PPI, inventory reduction and WADPO.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or relevant discipline.
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years' of applicable experience in bid evaluations and negotiating long-term agreements.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations, the physical security of company, and to assist individuals to comply across three (3) locations. What You'll Do
Lead and manage staff to support changing business and EH&S needs.
Overall EH&S management of PSG California, LLC. locations, Grand Terrace, CA, North Hollywood, CA, and Yuma, CO.
Promote a positive safety culture within the company, ensuring all employees are well-connected around a common goal of safe practices.
Lead successful process improvement (i.e. Kaizen) events / projects focused on the realm of safety. This includes the upfront planning, cross functional team building, event execution, leadership report out, and long-term action items closure for a frequent schedule of Safety Kaizen events.
Organize and maintain the company's Safety Training Program for employees on policies, regulations, company standards and procedures. Create training on safety topics relevant to the organization's work habits and injury history.
Develops, implements, and maintains all procedures and protocols encompassing the company's Industrial Safety Program in compliance with all CAL-OSHA, OSHA, and ISO 45001. This includes routine auditing and fact-finding to ensure ongoing adherence.
Develops, implements, and maintains procedures and protocols related to the company's Environmental Programs in compliance with all Federal, State, County Legislation, and ISO 14001. This includes routine auditing and fact-finding to ensure ongoing adherence.
Partners with Human Resources on Workers' Compensation Program including implementing and maintaining policies and procedures that follow PSG/Dover standards and State legislation.
Develops, implements, and maintains all procedures and protocols encompassing the company's Business Continuity Planning in accordance with relevant legal, regulatory, and business requirements to mitigate risks associated with business disruptions. This position will direct all aspects of business continuity planning from strategy though implementation.
Oversee ongoing Security Measures for the facilities during non-operating periods. Performs periodic inspections to ensure integrity of associated measures.
Overseas proper operation of the facilities Fire Monitoring Systems during all times (24/7). Performs periodic inspections to ensure integrity of associated measures.
Responsible for the Emergency Response Program and Evacuations.
Responsible for Security and Safety monitoring of facility and security system.
Assists in the annual 3rd party accreditation assessment of the company's Integrated Management System (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Must be flexible and available by phone in the event of an emergency.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University.
5+ years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management, program development and implementation.
Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
Relevant professional certification(s), such as a certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, OSHA 30, DOT/HAZMAT, CPR/FA/AED/BBP is preferred.
ISO 45001 Lead or Internal Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead or Internal Auditor Certified preferred.

Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Maintenance Technician is to drive positive results in the Production Department to meet all NRF Division goals and continuously build a World-Class Rebar Fabrication facility to take care of Nucor's Customers.
This will include, but is not limited to:
Assist the safety team in the design, development and/or installation of machine guards and safety devices
Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and optimum functioning of equipment, systems, and processes
Troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment to maintain workplace safety and production efficiency
Generat parts lists and labor time estimates for maintenance and repairs
Advise Production Supervisor on machine purchasing and installation
Train key shop teammates on new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment
Maintain repair records
Other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Minimum two years' experience working on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical maintenance and repairs
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 or more years working experience in an industrial plant
• 2-year degree in mechanical/electrical or related field
• AC & DC motor knowledge and experience
• VFD knowledge and experience
• Power transformer knowledge and experience
• Programmable Logic Controller knowledge and experience

- Performing a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy. Uses instruments to test circuits and replaces or installs new power, light, electronic and control circuits.
- Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions, inspecting circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and testing electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
- Repairing complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems and alarms.
- Working from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
- Improvising acceptable fixes to get equipment running promptly.
- Assisting engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective action.
- Properly inspecting and maintaining shop equipment, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Preparing new machines and production equipment for operation.

The Metallurgy Clerk supports the metallurgical and materials engineering team by performing administrative, data-entry, document control, and test-report coordination tasks related to metal materials used in aerospace components. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
* Maintain and organize metallurgical test reports, material certificates (MTRs), heat-treat records, and supplier documentation.
* Update and manage databases for material properties, test results, and conformance reports.
* Ensure all documents comply with aerospace standards and internal quality procedures.
* Assist in preparing documentation packages for customer audits, regulatory audits, and internal reviews.
* Enter metallurgical test data (hardness, tensile, chemical composition, microstructure evaluations, etc.) into quality systems or ERP/MRP software.
* Prepare summaries and reports for engineers, quality inspectors, and management.
* Track work orders, coupon testing schedules, and sample flow through lab processes.
* Coordinate the flow of material samples to and from heat-treat, NDT, and metallurgical labs.

Qualifications include being a current student in a local college or university (must be enrolled) toward bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with strong analytical and communication skills.
The Electro-Mechanical Engineering Intern will carry out engineering assignments concerned with the planning and design of electro-mechanical equipment and processes. Responsible for design, development and test of prototype hardware and monitoring production, installation, operation, maintenance, test and repair of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and processes. Qualifications include being a current student in a local college or university (must be enrolled) toward bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with strong analytical and communication skills.
The Specialty Engineering Intern will carry out engineering assignments concerned with the planning and design of mechanically functioning equipment and processes. As a member of the Specialty Engineering group within the Engineering Department, will be involved in reliability, maintainability, testability, safety, human factors, risk management, life cycle cost management and other related disciplines. Qualifications include being a current student in a local college or university (must be enrolled) toward bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with strong analytical and communication skills.
The Material/Ceramic Engineering Intern must be familiar with piezoelectric materials. Responsible for reviewing materials supplied by vendor, optimizing production processes, testing for material performance validation and collaborating with production on performance issues. Qualifications include being a current student in a local college or university (must be enrolled) toward bachelor's degree in ceramic engineering or material science with strong analytical and communication skills.
Strong computer and writing skills required. Prefer experience with SolidWorks CAD and knowledge of manufacturing. "Hands on" skills encouraged. Assist Engineering department with on-going programs by completing engineering related tasks. Tasks may include CAD work, design and analysis, as well as hardware integration and testing. Assist in revising and creating process plans, standard work and other process documentation items. Experience with test equipment is preferred, but not a requirement. Looking for a hands-on team player.
Qualifications:
* Education: Current student in a local college or university (must be enrolled) toward BS degree in mechanical, electrical or ceramic engineering or material science. Must have completed two years of courses; three years preferred. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better is preferred.
* Design of Electro-mechanical components/systems for the defense industry is a plus.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
* Understanding of military specifications and environment desired, MIL-STD-100 preferred. ASME Y14.5 standard desired.
* Experience with test equipment a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting working towards group goals.
* Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.
* Full-time availability (up to 40 hours) during the summer.
* Must be a U.S. citizen.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Operates various conventional and/or numerically controlled machining centers on semi‐complex jobs. Works from blueprints, sketches, planning sheets, verbal instructions, and/or engineering, tooling, or equipment information. Contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs. Works with limited guidance in a team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sets up and runs multiple production machines. Performs machine operations (including reworking parts) such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming parts. Performs machine operations where the materials, tooling, and sequence of operations have been pre‐planned and established. Makes necessary machine adjustments and reports improper machine functioning or cutting action for correction.
2. Aligns and fastens work using standard fixtures and established methods.
3. Installs and adjusts cutting tools consistent with type and size of material being machined.
4. Follows established manufacturing methods using standard production machines, materials, and tooling.
5. Adjusts feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to machine quality parts, per documentation.
6. Operates hand and power tools to deburr precision and complex machine parts in accordance with semi‐ complicated engineering blueprints and route sheets to close tolerances.
7. Inspects parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as gages, calipers, micrometers and comparators. Uses various types of magnification equipment (including a microscope) to detect and avoid damage to surfaces and critical areas. Visually inspects parts for burrs or damaged machined surfaces.
8. Routinely maintains equipment to ensure cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability specific to division requirements.
9. Accurately and regularly performs statistical process control (SPC) specific to division requirements.
10. Actively implements lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement. Effectively applies lean concepts and tools in work area.
11. Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
