    Job Description Apply Here: ******************************************************************************** As a member of the executive leadership team, the chief financial officer position is accountable for the financial and risk management operations of the University, including the development of a financial strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve University assets and report accurate financial results. The CFO provides assistance in formulating the University's future direction and supporting University initiatives in corporate finance and information technology. This position provides leadership, administrative oversight and policy/protocol/process development for corporate finance and information technology. Qualifications: 1. Master's degree in accounting or business administration required; a combination of education and a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience may be considered in place of a Master's degree 2. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all types of individuals 3. CPA or CMA designation highly recommended 4. Must properly use tact, diplomacy, discretion and sound judgment 5. Extensive knowledge of US GAAP 6. Prior experience in private higher education or nonprofit preferred 7. Strong computer application and institutional databases management skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.); SQL knowledge a plus 8. Excellent organizational, administrative and leadership abilities 9. Ideally, candidates will maintain active membership in an evangelical denomination. To be considered a candidate for an Administrative position, the applicant must submit ALL of the following materials: * Online Application with the following materials attached: * Cover letter addressing criteria listed in the position announcement * Current resume and/or placement file * College transcripts (unofficial will be accepted at the time of application) Attention Applicants: * After application has been submitted, all application materials will be screened. * Internal candidates must also submit all required materials to be considered. * Candidate evaluations will not be considered. * Reference letters from any member of the Hiring Committee or Board Members will not be considered. * Interviews will be by invitation only. * Interviews may be by Zoom. * The District does not reimburse for new hire moving expenses. New Administrative Appointments will be placed at the step 1 on the Administrative Salary Schedule and will graduate to the next step on July 1st of the following year if they have rendered 5 months of satisfactory service, with subsequent steps annually thereafter to a maximum fifth step. Salary placement would only be negotiable if the candidate held the same position with another community college and step 2 or 3 would be the maximum considered depending on the number of years of service.
