Summary:
This position is located in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. It is part of a regionalized Command. The position provides engineering and design services to all activities and tenants for a broad range of facilities, served by NAVFAC. This includes a large number of customer activities with varied missions, dispersed over a sizable geographical region with numerous facility types, ranging from administrative and housing facilities to very complex industrial and operational facilities.
Duties:
The incumbent performs design analyses and calculations for mechanical projects and is responsible for the preparation of final detailed working drawings, comparative cost analysis, Request for Proposals (RFPs), and project specifications for a wide variety of facility types.
The incumbent develops complex designs and analyses utilizing advanced mechanical engineering software. The incumbent is proficient with the use of the Whole Building Design Guide (WBGD) and current AutoCAD, mechanical software, and Specs in Tact technologies, utilized for the completion of the design drawings and specifications.
Supports Asset Management for proper scope and budgeting during 1391 project development process.
The incumbent makes site investigation field trips to project sites, as required, to collect all pertinent data and refine or develop project scope by inspection of existing conditions and through meetings with sponsoring activity.
Conducts various studies, monitors project progress and prepares quarterly reports. Prepares technical reports when appropriate describing problems investigated, procedures followed, results obtained, and conclusions reached. Briefs various levels on findings and provides recommendations for problem resolution.
For projects designed by A/E contract, the incumbent prepares statements of work, government estimates of fee, develops pre-negotiation position and assists in negotiations. The engineer provides technical guidance to A/E firms regarding criteria application and unique DoD functional requirements.
Serve as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or as a Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) assisting the COR, in administration, oversight and performance assessment of contracts.

Summary:
Signode fabricates and sells consumables and automation equipment used to pack, bundle, unitize, warehouse, and transport goods. The Innovation, Research, and Development team for automation and packaging technologies (APT) develops new products, tests them, and launches them to market. The incumbent Mechanical Engineer will conceptualize, design, detail, build, test, and document various updated and new automation equipment products, including equipment used for strapping, case handling, packing, unitizing, and warehouse automation.
Essential Functions:
Design automation equipment to achieve product requirements.
Apply mechanical engineering theory such as structural, dynamic, and thermal analysis.
Create models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in SolidWorks.
Submit engineering change orders and assist with technical documentation.
Build and test prototypes. This position is hands-on.
Select mechanical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical components.
Evaluate and optimize designs for safety, reliability, and cost.
Maintain, promote, and enhance a safe work environment.
Travel to customer sites (10%) to learn the industry, participate in requirements solicitation, and troubleshoot problems with new equipment deployments.

Position Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
An associate degree in automation with suitable work experience will be considered.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years' experience designing equipment (experience designing automation or packaging equipment is a plus).
Detail-oriented and conscientious when designing, detailing, and testing. Understanding manufacturing techniques, including sheet metal forming, machining, welding, surface treatments, and 3D printing.

Northrop Grumman's Space System is seeking a Staff Spacecraft Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineer in Dulles, Virginia. This position is onsite only.
GNC is designing, building, and testing spacecraft subsystems for a mix of DoD, NASA, and commercial customers. We are leaders in innovative solutions to the rapidly growing/evolving fields of space-based autonomous rendezvous-and-docking and rapid design/production of small satellites. We are seeking a highly talented and ambitious Engineer to take responsibility for the attitude control solutions that meet our spacecraft requirements.
In this role, you will provide technical leadership, directing a technical team of GNC engineers while maintaining oversight of cost accounts. Leadership responsibilities include managing direct labor, procurement, and subcontract processes to ensure efficient project execution and compliance to budgets.
You should demonstrate exceptional technical expertise in the GN&C domain for space vehicles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to balance complex technical challenges along with financial management skills.
In addition to the leadership responsibilities, the GNC engineer is expected to:
+ Design, analyze, and tune spacecraft attitude and position control loops using time and frequency domain techniques
+ Design, analyze, and tune sequential filters (e.g. Kalman filters) for attitude determination and relative navigation
+ Design, develop, test and verify flight algorithms for the GNC subsystem and support flight software qualification testing

**Salary Range:** $171,000 - $256,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Job Description:
Determine the characteristics of current foreign military systems and predict future capabilities and battlefield effectiveness of such aerospace systems, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), helicopters, missiles, projectiles, air vehicles (subsonic, supersonic, and hypersonic) and their materials and mechanical/aeronautical structures.
You will also determine air vehicle/projectile aerodynamic performance using modeling techniques and document vehicles in digital CAD models.
Conduct analysis and reconstruct UAS aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, stability and control to support the prediction of system capabilities and effectiveness as well as the identification of vulnerabilities for counter measure development.
Practical experience modeling, characterizing, and/or testing aircraft performance, stability and control with strong foundational experience in associated software tools (NDARC, CHARM, etc.) is required.
Provide analysis on the refinement and deployment of expanded UAS modeling capability and the analysis and development of UAS for further dissemination through ICD compliant production processes.

Bowhead seeks an Aerospace Engineer to join our team at Dahlgren, VA to support the Navy's Integrated Engagement Systems Department in the integration of munitions system guidance. **Responsibilities** - Work with a team of engineers and researchers to improve the performance of developing weapon concepts, and apply innovative technologies to these concepts.
- Apply computational and analysis methods to developmental munitions concepts.
- Contribute to research study plans for new weapon system designs, testing new materials and prototypes for future production, and reviewing the results to develop new products.

_Job Essentials_
A Staff level Analytics Engineer develops innovative solutions at scale using a combination of analytics, data and software engineering skills that drive significant value. This includes proficiently applying software engineering best practices and skills to analytic processes and solutions; proficiently utilizing data engineering principles including query development, data modeling and data pipeline/orchestration techniques; and employing advanced BI and visualization techniques while delivering a simple and intuitive user experience. This individual also Improves processes and solutions through advanced technical and automated methods and quickly learns and appropriately applies cutting edge advanced methodologies and tools in creative and novel ways to further analytics. They evaluate technical gaps/opportunities and drives successful implementation of new tools/technologies and extend the capabilities of existing tools/technologies in new and innovative ways to enhance analytics solutions.
_Minimum Qualifications_ (REQUIRED):
Demonstrated proficiency in an analytics-related field such as information systems, data science / analytics, statistics, computer science, mathematics.
Experience demonstrating effective visual solution design and creation with industry standard analytics tools and technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Experience demonstrating a fundamental knowledge of data engineering best practices including database design, data modeling, data orchestration and effectively leveraging SQL.
Experience with the software development life cycle using both frontend and backend programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.
Experience demonstrating version control best practices, agile methodologies, and project management tools such as Bitbucket/GitHub, JIRA, Scrum, Kanban, Roadmaps, etc.
Experience developing, analyzing, interpreting, and managing various complex data sets to drive insights with meaningful outcomes.
Experience utilizing APIs to integrate and extend capabilities of tools and services.
Experience participating in analytic projects from inception to deployment including workflow integration.
Understanding of website design principles and web development frameworks (e.g., CSS/HTML, Bootstrap, Material UI, ReactJS, AngularJS etc.).
Understanding of cloud platform services and technologies (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS).
_Preferred Qualifications:_
Two years of professional experience in an analytics role and a Master's Degree in an analytics-related field such as information systems, data science / analytics, statistics, computer science, mathematics.

Four years of professional experience in an analytics role and a Bachelor's Degree in an analytics-related field such as information systems, data science / analytics, statistics, computer science, mathematics.
Life-long learner.
Experience with the administration and backend of Tableau Server
Proficiency leveraging Databricks to develop comprehensive analytic solutions.
Applied understanding of graphical user interface design best practices, or human centered design methods.
Experience in a healthcare environment. Understanding of HIPAA and other applicable statutes or regulations concerning patient privacy and appropriate use and sharing of healthcare data.
