Responsibilities Prepare materials and components for potting and encapsulation processes. Prepare and handle potting compounds (epoxies, silicones, and urethanes) in accordance with established work instructions and specifications. Dispense materials into molds, housings, or assemblies using manual or automated equipment. Operate curing ovens, vacuum chambers, and related equipment safely and accurately. Inspect completed units for quality, consistency, and defects. Maintain detailed records of materials, lot numbers, and process steps. Follow all safety and handling procedures, including the use of PPE. Support general production tasks as needed (e.g., cleaning molds, prepping components). Perform other duties as assigned.     MELE is seeking a site lead to support the Mobile Detection Deployment Program (MDDP)/Mobile Detection Deployment Unit (MDDU) program. The program is growing into the full spectrum of CBRN detection, however the emphasis of this support is focused on radiological/nuclear detection operations and instrumentation. The nature of the MDDU force will be voluntary and managed on a rotational basis for scheduled events and short notice requested to deploy. The site lead for the program reports to the Program Manager and is responsible for providing operational and program support. This position will be the lead personnel for their specific location and responsible for successful completion of all tasks as designated by the Program Manager. This position will be a surge asset designed to supplement Federal and State partners' and first responders' existing CBRN detection and reporting capabilities in support of national and other special security events. Deployment without advance notification may be required. This position must have experience with radiological/nuclear detection instrumentation. This position is contract award dependent. RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will include but are not limited to the following. Initiate, organize and report on all program planning and management taskings. Ability to deploy equipment when needed. This requires transporting detection equipment via towable trailer to various locations as designated by the client. Coordinate, initiate and track the progress of deployments of the assigned equipment. Ensuring detection equipment is repaired, calibrated, and maintained in a ready state for deployment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Provide coverage during standard and non-standard hours of business to include weekends and Holidays when necessary. Job Requirements Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Perform VV&A analysis on physics-based Core Truth Models representing signatures, environment states and effects, and lethality; and generate reports on findings. * Develop data analysis code to assess hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and/or digital models against their requirements and determine suitability for intended uses in MDS simulations. * Research technical papers and identify data pertinent to model VV&A to develop expertise on physical theory and mathematical equations that constitute the models. * Establish VV&A evidence by comparing modeled data to referent data for various MDS sensors, threats, or interceptors. * Serve as primary point of contact and product integrator for a team effort to include preparation and presenting of evidence plans, products, and reports. Required Qualifications * BS in a STEM field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science discipline and 3+ years of experience * Must possess a Secret level security clearance (or higher) * Experience coding in at least one programming language (Python preferred) and ability to analyze existing code * Basic knowledge of verification and validation (V&V) processes * Ability to collaborate with counterparts from other stakeholder agencies, such as software developers and accreditation agents, to establish adequate V&V evidence and correct modeling issues. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while reporting results as part of a team. The candidate should be able to work in an open, collaborative environment and have good written / spoken communication skills.
