I have been able to meet so many wonderful people who have had the belief and trust in me to take on bigger projects and tasks. I have been able to become a technical director without the degree that everyone has told me to get and I have become one of the best directors at my station only behind my mentor and lead director. The benefits are really nice, I had my child early on in 2021. Not only have I had support for time off when I needed it but the people I work with actually care about the situation, and that's a nice change of pace. I now have a baby girl that needs a solid foundation and I will do anything to get there.
Big corporate does not seem to care about there employees. They have laid off lots of people even with a great year in the news organization. Freezing everyone's pay and skipping out on bonuses. I want to work for an organization that will hold strong in tough times and stand by there employees
My favorite would have to be a cross between having my own show and the health benefits for my newborn.
The mid-level workers in the corporate office are great.
Too much politics, CIO is clueless, Directors and above only look out for themselves. Pay is low and raises are minimal.
