The Staff Development Nurse is responsible for developing and implementing care plans for Sisters, providing education and hands-on training for nursing and STNA staff, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance within the facility. This individual will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, fostering staff growth, and supporting our mission of compassionate service. This position follows a Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional evening, weekend, or holiday hours as needed. Requirements Initiate/develop and update all care plans, tasks and extensions of care plan. Protects Sisters' confidentiality and privacy. Lead, support, and conduct evaluations for professional and non-professional nursing staff. Develop and conduct training sessions to educate nursing staff in collaboration with other departments. Develop, implement, and maintain ongoing quality assurance. Help prepare and participate in facility State surveys. Review MARs on Cuvilly per assignment. Function as the key contact and resource for the Assisted Living Unit. Assist as needed with clinical recruiting efforts. Serve as designated alternate for staff coaching, education, and employee discipline. Schedules and coordinates with Director of Nursing monthly, annually, and PRN in-services and staff training. Participate in the Administrative Nurse On-Call Rotation Other assigned duties as assigned by Director of Nursing or Licensed Nursing Home Administrator Qualifications Current R.N. or LPN license in the State of Ohio. Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care or related healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of Federal and State regulations and survey processes. Familiarity with PointClickCare or similar electronic health record systems preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and support staff effectively. Commitment to upholding Resident Rights and maintaining confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
