We are currently hiring for a full-time Project Manager to work out of our McLeansville, NC office.
This is a Full-Time, year-round position with time split between office and field. Travel to projects both local and nationwide is required. This is a non-union management level position and is part of the Operations Department.

Responsibilities:
Scheduling; Tracking Production and Inventory
Handling Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
Coordinating & Supervising Varying Work Schedules (for Day/Night Work) and Crew Mobilizations from job to job
Working Closely with Project Owners, Prime Contractors, Inspectors, Field Engineers, Field Superintendents and Subcontractors/Suppliers as needed to successfully complete our construction projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management
Well-qualified candidates will have 5+ years working in project management for a heavy civil construction company with prior experience managing construction projects, preferably involving bridge and/or pavement overlay related work, but other types of experience will be considered
Other Important Qualifications: Good organizational and time management skills, employee managerial experience, excellent computer skills including strong Microsoft Excel skills, a willingness to continue learning and mentor younger engineers, ability to work as a team, great communication skills

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for day-to-day site Operations, including but not limited to supervising the warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Planning of inbound and outbound volume, customer communication activities, space utilization & management, and equipment management. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, labor management planning, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensures the development of systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products in a safe and profitable manner in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
· Manages operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals. Complies with terms outlined in client SLAs.
· Drives company Continuous Improvement efforts and provides ideas and suggestions for more efficient operations and on-going cost savings measures.
· Meets all client specified KPI's and complies with Quality system requirements.
· Manages the operations to achieve prescribed objectives. Applies sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to supervise fairly and equitably, counsel, and (where needed) discipline team members.
· Collaborates with Human Resources. Assists in creating programs for hiring, training, and professional development. Participates in performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases, and other HR activities.

Customer Management:

Budgeting/Financials:

Equipment & Facilities

· Ensures team members are properly trained on any MHE.
· Keeps informed of relevant new technology and make recommendations as applicable.
Safety
· Achieves company goals in terms of injury frequency ratings (IFR) and other safety metrics by establishing a proactive and participative safety culture within the operations.
· Audits warehouse for compliance with safety, security, and quality principles and rules.
· Ensures all federal, provincial, or other statutory requirements are adhered to within the parameters of Health and Safety.

Education & Experience

Summary

Manage the preventative maintenance program to achieve the company standards of completion
Team Leadership
Recruit, select, and develop operations employees including technicians, service leaders, coordinators, and parts employees
Set objectives for service employees and monitor results through appraisals and scorecards
Conduct performance appraisals, training and development activities for subordinates (e.g. promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc.)
Determine technician staffing levels and lead technician career development and hiring
Prepare schedules for service personnel and ensure paperwork is submitted promptly
Operational Excellence
Participate in the site level lean management system including daily performance huddles, root cause problem solving, and adherence to leader standard work

For this position, the expected base pay is: $90,000 - $100,000/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
