NATURE OF WORK This classification involves seasonal supervisory work in the area of recreation. Duties are performed within well-established procedures related to the coordination of recreational activities within the City's Leisure Services Department. An employee in this classification is responsible for assisting in the planning, directing, organizing and coordinating community recreation programs for youth, including cultural arts, arts and crafts, physical activities, special events, and aquatic activities. Work requires initiative and originality in developing specialized methods, equipment and techniques to conduct large or widespread recreation programs. Supervision may be exercised over a group of recreational personnel.
