Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Administers the CMMS system to ensure on time completion of identified facilities maintenance tasks. Supervises subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality work is provided to the site
Build relationships with the client to understand objectives and make recommendations to improve facilities productivity, quality of service and results. Models company & client policies and procedures. Identifies, analyzes and resolves problems in a teamwork environment
Evaluate physical buildings, assets, equipment and processes for compliance with standards (both Company and Customer) as required
Interacts with the corporate project team to assist with proposals, Scope of Work documents and project execution. Follows up on punch list items and provide feedback to the corporate project team
Provides input for regularly scheduled subcontractor performance reviews
Promote commitment to environmental health and safety by adhering to safety practices, investigating concerns and making recommendations
Qualifications
OSHA 10 hour and/or 30 Hour card is required. BOMA, IFMA, LEED Certifications a plus
Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations
Requires use of MS Project, Word and Excel. Experience with Enterprise Software and CMMS required
Physical Demands
Frequent office deskwork requiring sitting, using phone and computer. Regularly requires extensive walking when performing site audits and physical building checks. Occasionally requires associate to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds
Work Environment
Office environment with minimal noise level. Occasionally requires presence on construction projects with exposure to noise, dust and debris. Overnight travel required

Ensure that all documentation and reports are accurately completed and in a timely manner, including required Safety correspondence in Cooperwork, daily logs and payroll time sheets.

Work with managers and provide input (which management gives particular weight to) into staffing and job development activities (training, employee corrective actions, pay raises, etc.); to develop, communicate and manage individual staff performance expectations that align with company goals.

The Field Inspector will be engaged in projects for the construction of Distribution lines including the final commissioning and closeout phases. Below is list of activities the Field Supervisor may be involved in throughout the life cycle of a project from initiation to final commissioning and closeout. Project scopes vary as will the roles of a Field Supervisor for each project.
Key Expectations:
Customer shall provide the procedures, process and governance for the assigned scope of work; however, the day-to-day direction of activities for the scope of work shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.
Contractor shall be responsible for the safe and efficient over site and execution of construction activities related to this project.
Contractor shall be responsible for the monitoring and the contractor shall provide reporting weekly to Customer as it pertains to the construction of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing expertise to Customer's project team as it relates to the development of the project scope, detailed construction plans, project cost estimates, project schedules and identification of outage requirements (list of outages, exact work dates, and construction resource requirements) to implement for new facilities.
Contractor shall participate in daily tailboards, safety briefings, and on-site field/scope visits.
Contractor under the guidance of the Construction Engineer shall coordinate all switching plans Contractor shall coordinate with surveying and soil boring crews.
Contractor shall coordinate delivery of matting, vac trucks, and traffic control teams when necessary.
Contractor shall ensure that all necessary permits from the ROW and/or Environmental groups are in place prior to the start of any construction.
Ensure that SWMPP is in installed and maintained as designed
Contractor shall co-ordinate with PM/CE to ensure all materials needed for construction are kitted and delivered to site.
Contractor is responsible for compiling all As-built documents, Distribution Change Order forms, timesheet approvals, and coordination of WO Field completion process.
Contractor shall work with Customer's construction engineer or assigned representative on any deficiencies or discrepancies.
Contractor shall ensure that Safety- Tailboards, JHA's and applicable reviews are conducted with documentation of the date and time of such Tailboards, JHA's, reviews and attendees.
Contractor shall perform observations/hazard analysis as well as monitor the contracting crew members to ensure they are in compliance with all safety and operational requirements.
Contractor shall monitor the skills and abilities of the contractors relative to the tasks they are performing, their mental and physical state, any public exposure, and perform accident/incident reporting.
Contractor shall participate in design constructability reviews.
Contractor shall ensure that all contractors working on site are in compliance with Customer mandated safety training and procedures (safety manual work procedures, De-Energized Work Plan, and Energized Work Plan).

The Site Leader will provide world class startup, commissioning, test and inspection service leadership for large, high-profile customers for the Vertiv Switchgear and Busbar business. The site leader is the primary Vertiv Service representative for large jobs, from factory testing, through start-up, site acceptance testing, and project completion. The site leader is required to establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent Switchgear and Busbar Service at all customer and contractor meetings for projects which the PL is assigned to by the Area Supervisor
Utilize standard Project Management tools to conduct the project effectively, achieving quality, financial and schedule targets
Coordinate start-up, commissioning, inspection and site testing activities for assigned projects
Review scope of work requirements on the sales order
Review customer or third-party procedures and train personnel on those procedures
Define and manage man-power needs for the job
Gather all documentation for job (submittals, as-built drawings, in-house test procedures)
Coordinate with order management, plant production, logistics, contractors, services, and warranty groups throughout the project, escalating potential conflicts to avoid impact to the customer
Represent Service in front of the customer, contractor, and consultants
Assist contractors as required during installation of assigned projects
Coordinate Pre-Site meetings with contractor
Provide support to contractor for technical questions during installation
Support start-up and site testing activities for assigned projects
Ensure sufficient man-power on site each day to perform start-up and site testing work
Assist during start-up and site testing as necessary, depending upon man-power availability and site location
Provide first level of tech support assistance to speed up problem resolution
Monitor jobs for timely completion, work with sales rep on providing quotes for additional services not paid for, or excess labor requirements resulting from delays beyond Service control
Provide daily status reports to Service management and customer
Manage issues list and work to resolve issues in a timely manner

Provide On-the-Job training and on-site direction to associates for assigned projects
Conduct field customer training for assigned projects as required
Communicate with Technical Support on equipment issues
Keep current on Safety Bulletins, Safety Field Change Notices, Field Change Notices, and Service Tips

Point out potentially unsafe conditions to a customer or contractor, as necessary and based on extensive experience, with the authority to halt work on a project until conditions are corrected
Administration
Coordinate assigned project completion, customer training, and close-out
Provide all commissioning reports in a final package to the customer
Coordinate any additional training bought with the sales order
Provide Time and Material quotes for customers or contractors for assigned projects, as necessary
Coordinate subcontracted services and equipment rentals for assigned projects, provide purchase orders to vendors as required
Provide accurate and timely reporting in accordance with published guidelines
Time cards, expense reports, mileage reports, ticket closure, forms, et al.
Customer Satisfaction
Provide proper and adequate communication to internal and external customers
Provide estimated time of arrival to the customer or contractor where applicable
Coordinate and attend customer or contractor meetings as required
Maintain customer satisfaction rates according to company guidelines

Complete all work in an efficient and timely manner

Properly evaluate site and equipment for appropriate billing status

QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent and six years minimum same or similar work experience. OR
High school education or equivalent and eight years minimum same or similar work experience.
Construction management experience, critical infrastructure expertise with Switchgear, Busbar and Power Distribution a plus.
Knowledge of construction, electrical and mechanical contracting.
Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing processes, data center infrastructure and commissioning processes is helpful.
Solid foundation of electrical power theory and application including thorough understanding of applicable safety procedures.
Provide on-site customer consultation, must be able to present themselves as an expert in the field
Expert analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written) required.
Able to manage customer expectations during stressful situations
A high degree of communication, organizational and management skills are required
Valid driver's license is required
Must be able to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and blueprints
Ability to summarize and report all work related tasks performed
Ability to give technical assistance via the telephone to customers on a regular basis
Independently evaluate, recognize, and recommend acceptable customer solutions based upon site evaluation.
Recommend and direct activities at a customer site by leading technical activities of other technicians at a customer site
