The Buffet Attendant / Food Runner is primarily responsible for setting up, breaking down and maintaining buffet items, ensuring that they are fresh, hot, and appealing. Responsibilities will also include transporting food from the kitchen to the buffet, ensuring that buffet items are properly stocked, maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the buffet area, equipment, and utensils. They will also assist with running food from the kitchen to guest tables in the restaurant and/or the lobby bar, and assisting guests as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Promptly deliver food from the kitchen to guests and buffet stations with accuracy and care
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and replenishment of buffet areas throughout service
Monitor food levels and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely refills
Ensure all buffet items are presented attractively and meet food safety standards
Assist servers and hosts with guest needs, including clearing tables and resetting as needed
Support setup and breakdown of buffet stations, including equipment and décor
Communicate effectively with culinary and service teams to ensure smooth operations
Early morning, weekend and holiday availability is required for this role.

The Steward - Kitchen Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, china, silver, glassware, pots, pans and work areas and for replenishing supplies with clean ware.
Clear all food and beverage outlets of dishes, silverware and related items.
Replenish supplies with clean ware.
Perform all duties in a safe and careful manner.
Assist Service Attendants as necessary.
Attend periodic meetings and training sessions.
Pick up mats from various outlets and transport to the Wash Bay to be cleaned and returned to the respective kitchens.
Break down all kitchen equipment for cleaning using approved chemicals by the company.
Comply with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls, and government rules and regulations.
Provide outstanding customer and employee service at all times.
Present a neat and clean appearance at all times.

* Serve all meals in accordance with assigned meal times.

* Prepare nutritious snacks for the residents each evening.
* Check all incoming food products for proper packaging and damage before storing.
* Store opened packages of dry goods in plastic canisters that are labeled as to contents.
* Store all food products including but not limited to: fruit, potatoes, and onions, in appropriate bins or at least six inches off of the kitchen floor.
* Maintain temperature records on refrigerators and deep freezers to make sure food is properly cooled.
* Check weekly for spoilage, and notify supervisor of any products that need to be properly disposed.
* Report for work clean and in clean clothing. Maintain well-kept appearance for duration of shift.
* Wear hair shield during working hours. Assure that anyone working in kitchen wears hair shield as well.
* Nails and hands shall be washed thoroughly with anti-bacterial soap after using restroom, and prior to food handling.
* Wear sanitary gloves when serving food.
* Clean all supplies and equipment thoroughly after each use before being placed in storage.
* Sweep and mop entire work area at the end of each shift.
* Clean kitchen in accordance with checklist at the conclusion of each shift.
* Conduct thorough cleaning of all major equipment on a weekly basis.
* Dust all storage shelves and cabinets by removing stored food or supplies on a weekly basis.
* Dust all food containers.
