This role is crucial in promoting optimal health outcomes for our residents. * Administer prescribed medications to residents as per physician's orders and in accordance with agency policies and procedures * Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report concerns to nursing staff. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medications administered, including dosages and timing. * Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for all residents. * Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of medication storage areas. * Uphold the highest standards of safety, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions. * Participate in training and professional development activities as required. * Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to the healthcare team. * Be available to assist residents with activities of daily living, as needed Requirements * State Certification as a Medication Technician * Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to senior care. * Ability to observe and monitor resident conditions effectively. * Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus. * Basic understanding of medication interactions/side effects and vital sign monitoring is beneficial. * CPR and First Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain).
