Context

Missions/Main Duties

Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with senior engineers/designers to prepare design drawings
Assist with the design of transportation systems and structures, following construction, client and government standards, using design software and drawing tools
Utilize your expertise in Bentley MicroStation Open Buildings for preparing design drawings
Manage drawing files
Archive drawing prints and files, assemble drawing submission packages, assist with site investigations and walkdowns and analyzing and reviewing the design requirements to ensure match with customers' specifications

Design floor plans to fit a SIP panel system using AutoCAD and a panelizing software (hsb CAD).
Strong understanding of building materials and common building practices.
Coordinates the collection of specific project data and incorporates this information into drawings.
Consults in a professional and timely manner with customers, dealers, internal team members, architects, engineers, truss and beam suppliers and surveyors while preparing precise drawings.
Responsible for maintaining an organized filing system for customer and production drawings.
May be required to draw finished designs from sketches.
Responsible for becoming familiar with a variety of the field's basic concepts, practices, and procedures.
Modify and revise designs to correct deficiencies or to reduce production problems and repeated drafting errors.
Accountable for providing prompt and accurate drafting support to customers, dealers, and other team members as needed or requested.
Takes independent actions as needed to accomplish a 160,000 square foot of panel produced annually.
Job Qualifications:
Education and / or Experience: Two (2) years of post-secondary education in Drafting Technology including CAD instruction or equivalent experience of five (5) years.
Skills: Strong technical knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD techniques along with hsb CAD. Use of ForteWEB for the sizing of building materials. Common building knowledge, common building practices, procedures, and building components used in manufacturing and in building construction industries.
Strong project management skills, communications skills and PC software skills with both Word and Excel.

The Production CAD Designer plays a key role in supporting the execution of both new development and maintenance capital work across our producing assets. This position is responsible for executing and adhering to critical operational milestones and providing strategic insights to ensure adherence to design specifications. The technician is also responsible for bridging the gap between operations / engineering / third party vendors for drawing and design inputs and outputs and acting as an essential support function for well planning, permitting, maintenance and development activities across the organization.
The Production CAD Designer II/III/Sr responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage, evolve, and integrate assets through the digital work environment using AutoDesk Programs (Plant 3D), Maximo and Salesforce.
Leverage and evolve internal processes to ensure adherence to all timelines and milestones.
Drive coordination between multiple internal groups (Planning / Construction / Engineering) to drive accuracy and standardization of drawing packages.
Responsible for AutoCAD Catalog and Specification management and standardization.
Responsible for coordinating with external engineering groups to ensure milestone adherence, cost management and standard adherence for all drawing packages to include Models, Isometrics, Orthographics Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping / Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs).
Responsible for onsite walkdowns and drawing redlines in order to ensure / drive drawing accuracy and high-quality site level As-Builts.
Responsible for several administrative tasks to include key performance indicator creation and management, document control oversight, variance identification and documentation.
Responsible for leading meetings / engagements with field team / construction in order to identify drawing issues / opportunities throughout the design process.
Possess and evolve strong computer skills with a solid understanding of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawing principles, and CAD/graphics. Knowledge and proficiency with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Create and maintain technical drawings for documentation and reporting. Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including well design plans and presentations for field team and senior engineering leadership.
Collects, reads, interprets, and uses related reference documents and drawings prepared by other disciplines, vendors, or outside sources.
Responsible for working directly with engineering leadership on identifying / finding professional development opportunities in order to drive proficiency and evolution of the candidate.
Required Experience and Skills:
Associate or bachelor's degree is required. Specialized courses in drafting, design and engineering practices, and (8) years of related experience are accepted in lieu of education requirements.
4+ years' experience in related field or industry or a combination of education and experience.
Professional experience with Computer-Aided Design software (CAD).
Basic computer skills and practical application of software programs.
Ability to contribute in a team environment.
Effective communication skills in both oral and written form, including technical writing.

Summary:
Utilize AutoCAD to design and produce safe and detailed formwork drawings for project teams to use in assembling concrete formwork for various structures. Prior experience in the formwork design field is required. We are seeking someone who understands formwork capacities, pour pressures, tie loads, wood form design, etc. This position requires proficiency in the use of AutoCAD.
