Plant Maintenance/Apprentice - Electrician Date Available: 01/05/2026 REPORTS TO: Electrical Coordinator DEPARTMENT/CAMPUS: Facility & School Services: Maintenance PAY GRADE/DUTY DAYS: $22.49 (estimated midpoint), 240 FLSA: Non-Exempt JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting other electricians in the diagnosing, repairing, installation, testing, and maintaining of high and low voltage electrical equipment and related systems in order to assist in providing for the safe condition and operation of all electrical equipment and systems within the District's facilities. KEY FUNCTIONS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Electrical: 1. Performs periodic checks and replacement of lamps. 2. Completes replacements of ballasts, as necessary. 3. Assists in repairs, replacements, and installations of lighting fixtures and electrical equipment. 4. Assists with the training of technician electrician personnel, as assigned. 5.
