Maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and pursue excellence in staff development through training, supervision, inventory/financial control and public relations consistent with the standards of the hotels. REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: * Maintain a strong level of cooperation with management team. * Opening & Closing shifts. * Assist with interview, hire, train, and discipline personnel in assigned departments. * Assist with Monthly Inventories for Linen & Supplies. * Inspection of all stayover and checkout rooms daily. * Assisting in carrying out all duties as needed in Housekeeping/Laundry Operations. * Maintaining cleaning standards through supervision of all team members ensuring that all guestrooms and public areas are serviced daily. * Provide timely response to guest requests and complaints. * Coordinate room status information between Housekeeping Department and Front desk to optimize service levels for guests' arrivals. * Monitor and maintain room status information in Maestro system to ensure accuracy. * Keep housekeeping filing system current and accurate. * Observe and report the need to repair equipment, furniture, building or fixtures to Maintenance and Executive Housekeeper * Conduct daily line up meetings with housekeeping colleagues. * Operate two-way radios efficiently and professionally in communicating with hotel staff. Ensure the proper use of radio etiquette within the departments. * Monitor and act on special requests as needed; VIPs, special needs rooms, connecting, etc. RESPONSIBLE FOR: Complete operation of assigned departments. All assigned room keys, equipment, inventory and checklists. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to perform all department tasks set forth in all other departmental s. This will include the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, bending, kneeling, and frequent walking throughout your shift. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Responsibilities range throughout the hotel property. Transport trash and soiled linen from storage closets. Movement of all furniture and mattresses. Cleaning of all walls, floor, ceilings, lights, windows, screens and vents. Stock supply closets with cleaning chemicals and guest supplies. Observe repairs needed to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures. Report immediately to the housekeeping department. Operate two-way radios efficiently and professionally in communicating with hotel staff. Set on 5,500 acres of Pocono Mountains landscape and boasting an historic 18-hole championship golf course built in 1926 recognized by GolfPass as a leader in course condition country wide and top resort course in Pennsylvania, Skytop delivers an exceptional guest experience and world-class outdoor environment. This key leadership position will manage all agronomic, maintenance operations, vehicle maintenance for the golf course and resort grounds, while fostering a collaborative culture with strong support from our leadership team - including an established Assistant Golf Superintendent, Assistant Grounds Foreman, Golf Mechanic, and Shop Mechanic - as well as active operational support from the hotel and executive leadership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Agronomy & Course Conditioning Lead all aspects of turfgrass management, cultural practices, fertilization, pest control, aerification, irrigation, drainage and daily course setup across the 18-hole championship golf course. Ensure consistent presentation of playing surfaces that reflect both championship-level conditioning and resort-style aesthetics. Team Leadership & Development Provide visionary leadership to the golf course and grounds teams: recruiting, training, scheduling, performance management, and safety oversight. Mentor and develop staff at all levels, with emphasis on career pathway growth for existing assistants and crew. Staff & Equipment Management Collaborate closely with the mechanic and shop operations to maintain peak performance of the maintenance fleet and equipment. Ensure a proactive approach to equipment replacement planning and shop workflows. Budgeting & Administration Prepare and manage annual operating and capital budgets for the golf course and landscape operations while managing the flow of the unique needs of a historic resort in the Pocono Mountains. Maintain accurate records of turf management practices, chemical applications, labor and materials in compliance with all applicable regulations. Communication & Collaboration Partner effectively with the General Manager, Director of Engineering, Director of Recreation, Golf Pro, and all cross-functional departments to align operational goals with guest satisfaction and revenue objectives. Represent the property professionally to Skytop's homeowners, community, industry and vendor relationships. THE PROPERTY Skytop Lodge is a historic mountain resort renowned for its Dutch Colonial Revival architecture, scenic natural assets, and diverse guest experiences. In addition to golf, the property features hiking trails, a 75-acre lake, luxury lodging, and year-round outdoor programs. The golf course - a mountain-style 18-hole layout with rolling terrain, tree-lined fairways and challenging greens - is enjoyed by resort guests, locals, and visitors from across the region. Built in 1926 by Robert White, the course provides the definition of a classic era golf course experience. Skytop has a recently renewed Toro equipment lease with many other pieces of well-maintained Golf equipment. The irrigation system has been well maintained in recent years, most recently having a GPS head project completed and new maps produced for bother the irrigation computer and booklets. A landscaping contractor is utilized on property for most aspects of ornamental bed maintenance, resort mowing, and winter snow removal. This position is unique as the Golf and Grounds staff are engaged in aspects of recreation maintenance for the resort, which includes a planned expansion of hiking trails maintenance next year. This opportunity will be highly engaging for the right candidate.
