This Senior DesignEngineer (SDE) role is a lead member of the core team for each Broadcast/ Media project, with an emphasis on the design and implementation of Master Control and production systems employing SMPTE ST-2110 and advanced playout and automation systems. The SDE provides direction and oversight through the project life cycle from sales concept to design development, construction drawings to implementation support. As the technical authority on a project team, the SDE is instrumental in the determination and execution of client and system requirements and will collaborate with SME (Subject Matter Expert) teams as required. The SDE is also responsible for mentoring other designengineers on the project team. Reporting to a Regional Director of Engineering the SDE's project assignments are determined by Engineering and Technical Operations Leadership based on enterprise‑wide demands, capabilities and availability.
NOTE - while this is a virtual position day to day, it does involve frequent onsite presence at customer sites concentrated in the Bay Area of California. As such, residing in (or a willingness to relocate to) the San Francisco Bay area of California is a requirement for this job. What You'll Do

Complexity
The Senior DesignEngineer works with the Regional Engineering Director and the Technical Operations Directors on resource assignments. This role is primarily billable in a post‑sales capacity, though there are times when the SDE will work on pre‑sales estimation and design efforts.
Decision Making Authority
As the final sign off on project bill of materials prior to purchasing, the SDE is responsible for vetting products and making detailed equipment decisions. As the technical leader on a project, the SDE has the authority to recommend direction on scope changes and programming and commissioning activities. The SDE will also be responsible for approving drawing packages being done by other designengineers as well as supervising them in their work.
Physical Working Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. Work will normally be performed within normal office conditions and/or home office depending on location of SDE. On occasions the employee may be exposed to construction site conditions. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The employee can typically spend at least 50% of their time on their feet and be required to move around the construction site. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth vision.
Travel
Occasional travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Employee must possess a valid driver's license in their state of residence. Employee will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate. Local travel to job sites (within a 2 hour driving distance each way) will make up 90% usually but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job at times.

Position Overview
As the Lead Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing system‑level electronics testing that demonstrates Echo's BCI devices are safe, effective, and compliant with FDA and international standards. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Technical Ownership
Own plumbing design execution from basis-of-design through permit and issued-for-construction (IFC) deliverables
Serve as Lead Designer: establish the basis of design, system selection, equipment sizing, and document strategy from kickoff through IFC
Deliver strong “core plumbing” design: sanitary and vent, domestic hot/cold water, water heating and recirculation, storm drainage, natural gas, and related equipment (e.g., water heaters, booster pumps, sumps, ejectors, interceptors where applicable)
Lead and execute specialty/process utility systems as required by the project and client, such as CDA, vacuum, RO/DI water, compressed gases, lab/process waste, and other owner-specific process piping

We are looking for a Traffic DesignEngineer to join our Transportation Planning and Design Group in either our Woodridge, IL or Indianapolis, IN offices. This position will provide traffic designengineering and consulting services on a variety of traffic/transportation projects. We are committed to delivering high-quality projects that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations.
General responsibilities
Participate in interdisciplinary teams with technical responsibilities in the areas of traffic signal design, roadway geometry development, multimodal assessment, pavement marking and signing design, traffic data collection, traffic operations analysis, and traffic safety analysis.
Prepare project deliverables including plans, specifications, and estimates as well as traffic impact analyses (TIAs), technical memoranda, reports, and presentations.
Lead and coordinate design activities between staff, clients, and subconsultants.
Support project managers to ensure that projects meet established schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
Train and mentor junior design staff, coop students, and interns.
Work closely with other V3 service lines on multi-discipline projects.
Assist in the preparation of proposals for new project pursuits.
Handle client relations as needed.
Attend industry networking events on behalf of V3.
Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Must be a degreed Civil Engineer.
7+ years of design experience delivering traffic/transportation projects for clients such as municipalities, counties, transportation agencies, and developers.
Microstation/OpenRoads Designer proficiency.
Experience with ADA/PROWAG requirements and bicycle and pedestrian facility design preferred.
Roundabout planning and design experience a plus.
Familiarity with HCS, Synchro, and SIDRA.
Knowledge of traffic engineeringprincipals in the HCM, MUTCD, HSM, ITE and AASHTO manuals.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to direct and supervise staff engineers.
Illinois and/or Indiana PE license required.
PTOE certification a plus, but not required.
