Requisition ID: 75715 Job Description Skyworks Solutions seeks an RF Characterization Engineer who will play a key role in the development of Skyworks' acoustic SAW/BAW technologies. This engineer will support the filter design group in terms of characterization and analysis of filter/multiplexers. The candidate will be focused on supporting characterization and analysis of MEMS devices worldwide working closely with both US and Asian engineering teams. Location: Irvine, CA Job Responsibilities * Work seamlessly as a member of Skyworks' filter team to advance BAW/SAW technologies. * Advance the characterization and analysis of RF MEMS filter/multiplexer including S-parameters, IMD & harmonics generation, and ruggedness. * Design and TO MCM/laminate breakout board for filter/multiplexer, for small signal and large signal characterizations. * Develop new test solutions required to understand the capabilities and limits of state-of-the-art MEMS devices. * Enable automation to gather device statistics, and improve efficiency. * Analyze / process characterization data for use by design and/or modeling teams. * Collaborate with modeling & NPI engineers on model development through design of experiments. * Manage laboratory activities and logistics of material (filters, MCM break-out, module builds). Job Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum 5 years of experience is required. Master degree and 3 years of experience are preferred. * A proven track record as a team player on an engineering team, preferably with experience functioning effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-geographic engineering environment. * Demonstrated skills in advanced RF characterization -- S-parameters, hot S-parameters, IMD & harmonics generation. * Strong skills in CAD for MCM/laminate layout. * Understanding and knowledge electromagnetic theory and circuit design. * Understanding in either semiconductors and/or acoustic devices. * Knowledge in semiconductor process or MEMS technology is desirable. * Knowledge in scripting, especially with Matlab and/or Python, as well as ADS. * Strong skill in data analytics is desirable. * Demonstrated strong communication /presentation skills. Prefered Qualifications * The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge and experience in working with test methodologies and analysis for semiconductor and/or MEMS devices. Knowledge of BAW/SAW devices is a big plus. The candidate will have the ability to function effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-geographic environment and must also be able to collaborate well with other engineers to achieve divisional objectives. Referral Bonus Program Reward (if eligible): $6,000.00 The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $114,400 - $220,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
