Nature and Scope This position is a senior member of the Manufacturing Team. The Manufacturing Team is responsible for activities associated with the manufacture of safe, effective and sterile pharmaceuticals in accordance with company SOPs, policies and cGMPs. While operating the machine, they are responsible for safely and efficiently manufacturing high quality folding cartons at or above target run speeds while minimizing waste and downtime. The machine operator is the leader of the crew and oversees the activities of the feeder packers working on that machine. The operator must obtain and review the job ticket for items, quantities, caliper of the paperboard, and any special instruction that is informational for running the order to specification. The case specification must also be reviewed to make sure that the instructions are clear and concise prior to running the order. The operator is responsible for ensuring all make-readies are put on as quickly as possible. The operator inspects the product quality including folded score caliper, proper gluing and stacking, carton and score alignment, and case fit, and ensures that the machine is in good running condition. The operator ensures that the Leary glue and mix detection system is constantly functioning correctly. The operator is also responsible for shutting down the machine if it is to be left unattended. Nature and Scope This entry level position is a member of the Manufacturing Team. The Manufacturing Team is responsible for activities associated with the manufacture of safe, effective and sterile pharmaceuticals in accordance with company SOPs, policies and cGMPs. The Team Member will be able to participate in all aspects of the Filling Process. The Team Member will receive direction, training and mentorship from the Senior Filling Operators. The Team Member will, with assistance from a Senior Team Member/s, be able to troubleshoot minor equipment adjustments and repairs during setup and during operations. The Team Member will be able to select parameters requiring Senior Team Member Approval for some manufacturing technologies using the HMI-PLC/SCADA control/data systems.
